BEML Limited is hiring 9 Group A backlog posts (Dy. General Manager, Asst. General Manager, and Sr. Manager) under the Special Recruitment Drive (10th Attempt) for SC/ST and OBC candidates. If you have a B.E./B.Tech (First Class) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Industrial, Production, or Automobile Engineering with the required post-qualification experience, you can apply online. BEML Limited Special Recruitment Drive 2026 - 9 Posts

BEML Limited (a Government of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence) has released Advt. No. KP/S/09/2026 for filling backlog vacancies reserved for SC, ST, and OBC candidates. This is the 10th attempt to fill these long-pending Group A posts. BEML is India's leading multi-technology company in defence, aerospace, rail, metro, mining, and construction equipment manufacturing — a great opportunity for engineers from reserved categories looking for senior positions.

Vacancy Breakdown by Position

  • Dy. General Manager (DGM) - Grade VII: 5 posts (Planning - 1 OBC, Mechanical Maintenance - 1 SC, R&D Rail - 1 OBC, Marketing - 1 OBC, Civil - 1 SC)
  • Asst. General Manager (AGM) - Grade VI: 3 posts (Mechanical Maintenance - 1 SC, R&D - 2 OBC)

Who Can Apply?

For DGM Grade VII (Rs. 90,000 - 2,40,000):

  • Qualification: First Class full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, Production, Electrical, Electronics, or Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering from a recognised University.
  • Experience: 16 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant domain.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate degree/diploma in technology or management (for Planning and Marketing posts), Master's in Engineering (for R&D Rail).

For AGM Grade VI (Rs. 80,000 - 2,20,000):

  • Qualification: First Class full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile (for Mech. Maintenance) or Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics (for R&D).
  • Experience: 13 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

For Sr. Manager Grade V (Rs. 70,000 - 2,00,000):

  • Qualification: First Class full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 11 years of relevant post-qualification experience in heavy mining equipment.

First Class is reckoned as 60% aggregate. SC/ST/PwD candidates get 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.

Age Limit

  • DGM Grade VII: Up to 50 years (SC/ST), 48 years (OBC)
  • AGM Grade VI: Up to 47 years (SC/ST), 45 years (OBC)
  • Sr. Manager Grade V: Up to 44 years (SC/ST), 42 years (OBC)
  • Age, qualification, and experience reckoned as on 14 May 2026.
  • PwD candidates get an additional 10 years relaxation over and above SC/ST/OBC relaxation (minimum 40% disability required).
  • Maximum age with relaxation in any case shall not exceed 57 years.

Salary

  • DGM Grade VII: Pay scale Rs. 90,000 - Rs. 2,40,000 per month
  • AGM Grade VI: Pay scale Rs. 80,000 - Rs. 2,20,000 per month
  • Sr. Manager Grade V: Pay scale Rs. 70,000 - Rs. 2,00,000 per month
  • Plus Variable Dearness Allowance, Perquisites & Allowances (currently 15.12% of Basic Pay) under the Cafeteria System.
  • You will also get Company Accommodation/HRA, PF, Gratuity, PRP, and other benefits as per BEML rules.

  • SC / ST / PwD candidates: No fee

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

  1. Application screening and shortlisting — only eligible candidates meeting all criteria will be shortlisted.
  2. Assessment / Interview — shortlisted candidates will be called for assessment based on their experience and qualification.
  3. Pre-employment medical examination and document verification — at the time of joining.

There is no written exam for these Group A senior positions — selection is purely merit and interview-based.

  3. Register with a valid email ID and mobile number to get a Registration Number.
  4. Fill the online application form — apply for only one position that suits you best.
  5. Upload required documents: 10th, 12th, Degree marks cards, Caste/PwD certificate, Aadhaar/PAN, photo, signature, experience certificates, latest pay-slip, and detailed resume.
  6. OBC candidates pay Rs. 500 online; SC/ST/PwD have no fee.
  7. Submit the form before 18:00 hrs on 14 May 2026.
  8. Government/PSU employees must send a printout through proper channel to Sr. Manager, Recruitment Cell, BEML Soudha, 23/1, 4th Main, S.R. Nagar, Bengaluru 560027 within 10 days of closing date, OR carry an NOC at the time of assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production planning, scheduling, and inventory control at BEML manufacturing units
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for shop floor equipment
  • Design and validate armoured vehicles and combat platforms for Indian Army operations
  • Drive R&D activities for Rolling Stock, Simulators, and Wayside Equipment in Rail & Metro division
  • Identify business opportunities, joint ventures, and technology transfers in Rail & Metro markets
  • Plan and supervise civil construction for factory, township, and industrial projects
  • Coordinate with Defence R&D agencies for new product development and indigenisation
  • Provide on-site service and breakdown support for heavy mining equipment at customer locations

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

First Class full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, Production, Electrical, Electronics, or Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering from a recognised University

Preferred Qualification

Postgraduate degree/diploma in Technology or Management; Master's degree in Engineering (for R&D posts)
