Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is hiring 1 Medical Officer (E-II grade) on a Fixed Term basis at its Navi Mumbai Unit. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Company under the Ministry of Defence, is one of India's premier defence electronics manufacturers. Through Advertisement No. 17004/NAMU/2026/VMO/FT/01 dated 23 April 2026, BEL has invited applications for 1 Medical Officer (E-II grade) post on a Fixed Term basis for its Navi Mumbai Unit located at Taloja, MIDC. This is a great opportunity for MBBS doctors with industrial work experience to join a Navratna defence PSU. Experience in an industrial establishment is specifically preferred by BEL for this post.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have an MBBS degree (Pass class) from a university/institution recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• You must be registered with either the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.
• Note: Internship training does NOT count as work experience.

Work Experience

• You need a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification relevant experience as on 01 April 2026.
• Experience in an Industrial Establishment is preferred.
• Academic, teaching, and research experience will NOT be counted as post-qualification experience.
• You must have experience certificates from your previous and current employers clearly showing your period of employment and the post held.

Other Requirements

• Only Indian Nationals can apply.
• You must be medically fit as per BEL's pre-employment medical standards.
• OBC (NCL), SC, and ST candidates applying for this unreserved (UR) post will be considered under the general merit standard — no qualification relaxation is available for them.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 32 years as on 01 April 2026.
• PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability): Age relaxation as per Government of India guidelines (only candidates with 40% or more disability are eligible).
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Age relaxation as per Government of India guidelines.
• No age relaxation is available for OBC (NCL) / SC / ST candidates applying for this UR post.

Salary

• Pay Scale (E-II Grade): Rs. 40,000 - 3% increment - Rs. 1,40,000 per month
• Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA): 20% of Basic Pay
• Perquisites: 35% of Basic Pay
• Other Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Performance Related Pay (PRP)
• Benefits: Group Insurance, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity as per company rules

Selection Process

1. Written Test: All eligible candidates will be called for a written test. Based on your performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:7 for the interview stage.
2. Interview: Only candidates shortlisted from the written test (top 7 per vacancy) will be called for the interview. Call letters for both the written test and interview will be sent by email.
3. Document Verification: All submitted information will be verified with original documents at any stage of the selection process.

BEL may also shortlist candidates for the written test based on the relevance of their post-qualification experience — meeting the minimum criteria alone does not guarantee a call for the written test.

• Attend OPD at the company medical centre and BEL Township, and manage IPD and OPD medical bill approvals for current and retired employees
• Handle medicine procurement activities including indenting, checking, and disbursement of medicines
• Manage cancer medicine requirements for retired employees
• Conduct health check-ups of employees and contract labour working in hazardous areas (every six months)
• Carry out health check-ups for children at the company creche
• Coordinate bio-medical waste management, liaise with hospitals and specialist networks, and manage related administrative tasks
• Handle medical fitness assessment (PEME examination) for new joiners and manage employee medical grievances
• Conduct first aid training sessions and monthly health classes for retired employees
• Manage emergency cases, issue referral letters to employees and hospitals, and implement recommendations from the Medical Committee
• Handle audits related to medical and safety compliance (ISO 14000, HIRA, Safety audits) and organise medical camps under CSR programmes
