Anna University Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Anna University, BIT Campus, Tiruchirappalli has released an advertisement for 1 Project Assistant post under the CMRG Scheme 2025-26 sponsored by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu. The work is in the research project titled "Design, Synthesis, and Anti-Inflammatory Evaluation of Chromone-Based TNF-Alpha Inhibitors Using Integrated Computational and Experimental Approaches" (Project ID: CMRG250326). The post is based in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology & Centre for Excellence in Nanobio Translational Research. There is no written exam — selection is through interview only.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• PG in Life Sciences — Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar fields
• OR UG/PG in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering/Technology, Biotechnology or equivalent

Desirable Skills

• Basic skills in drug design principles
• Hands-on use of computational tools — Molecular docking, QSAR, Virtual screening, Molecular modelling
• Experience with organic synthesis (reaction set-up, purification)
• Knowledge of spectral analysis
• Use of molecular biological tools — in-vitro and in-vivo studies, statistical analysis

The selected candidate must register for an M.S. by Research / Ph.D. programme at Anna University, Chennai as per prevailing university norms.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• No separate HRA, DA or TA — the pay is fully consolidated.

Selection Process

The selection is purely interview-based:

1. Shortlisting: Only short-listed candidates will be called for the interview based on the application and supporting documents.
2. Interview: The date, time, and venue of the interview will be communicated by email only.
3. Document Verification: You must produce original certificates at the time of interview for educational qualifications and professional experience.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
