ANGRAU is hiring 1 Research Associate under the Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (GKMS) scheme at its Regional Agricultural Research Station, Chintapalle, Andhra Pradesh. ANGRAU has released a notification to engage 1 Research Associate at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Chintapalle, under the GKMS unit of the Agromet Field Unit (AMFU). The position is funded by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Government of India, and is purely temporary and contractual for a period of 11 months. There is no online application — you need to walk in with your documents for direct screening and interview.

As a Research Associate under GKMS, you will work closely with agro-meteorology data to help farmers plan their activities around the weather — a role that combines research with real, on-ground impact for the farming community around Chintapalle.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Agriculture with specialization in Agro Meteorology / Agronomy / Meteorology / Agriculture Physics, OR a Master's Degree in Agriculture in the same specializations with a 4/5-year Bachelor's degree (UG, PG and Ph.D. from an ICAR-accredited university only), with first division or equivalent grade point average.
• Experience: At least 3 years of research experience as a Fellow, Associate, Trainee or in a similar engagement.
• Publication: At least one research paper in an SCI-indexed or NAAS-rated (4 or above) journal.
• Preference: Candidates with Agro Meteorology qualifications from ICAR-accredited universities will be preferred.
• Desirable: Knowledge or experience in meteorological data processing and interpretation of field data.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

ANGRAU will select the Research Associate through a walk-in interview:

1. Screening: Your documents and eligibility will be checked at the venue.
2. Interview: Eligible candidates will be interviewed by the selection committee.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the selection committee is final and binding, and the Institute reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview.
