All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh (AIIMS Rishikesh) has released Advertisement No. 2026/07 dated 18 April 2026 inviting online applications for 119 Faculty posts on Direct Recruitment or Deputation basis in various departments. AIIMS Rishikesh is an Autonomous Institute of National Importance established under the Pradhan Mantri Swastya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Both Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders are eligible to apply. Who Can Apply?

For Professor (Medical Candidates — General Disciplines):

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification (Indian Medical Council Act Schedule I/II/III)
• Postgraduate degree: MD or MS (or equivalent) in the respective specialty
• Experience: Fourteen years of teaching and/or research after obtaining MD/MS degree
• OR: Twelve years after obtaining M.Ch./D.M. (2-year or 5-year course after MBBS)
• OR: Eleven years after obtaining M.Ch./D.M. (3-year recognized course)

For Professor (Non-Medical Candidates):

• Postgraduate Master's degree in the discipline or allied subject
• Doctorate degree from a recognized university
• Experience: Fourteen years of teaching/research after obtaining doctorate

For Additional Professor (Medical):

• Same medical qualification as Professor
• Experience: Ten years after MD/MS; OR Eight years after M.Ch./D.M. (2-year or 5-year); OR Seven years after M.Ch./D.M. (3-year course)

For Associate Professor (Medical):

• Same medical qualification as Professor
• Experience: Six years after MD/MS; OR Four years after M.Ch./D.M. (2-year or 5-year); OR Three years after M.Ch./D.M. (3-year course)

For Assistant Professor (Medical):

• Same medical qualification as Professor
• Experience: Three years after MD/MS; OR One year after M.Ch./D.M. (2-year or 5-year); OR No experience required after M.Ch./D.M. (3-year course)

For Hospital Administration Department:

• MBBS or equivalent, plus MD in Hospital Administration (or equivalent); OR Master's Degree in Hospital Administration from an MCI-recognized institution
• Experience requirements correspond to the post applied for (14/10/6/3 years)

Note: Experience must come from recognized teaching institutions (INI/DCI/MCI/NMC-recognized) and must be acquired after obtaining the qualifying degree. Qualification must be registered with MCI/NMC/DCI wherever applicable. Experience is relaxable for SC/ST candidates as per rules.

Age Limit

• Assistant Professor & Associate Professor: Not exceeding 50 years
• Additional Professor & Professor: Not exceeding 58 years
• Age as on: Last date of online application submission (18 May 2026)
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation above upper age limit
• OBC: 3 years relaxation above upper age limit
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation above upper age limit
• Government Servants: 5 years relaxation above upper age limit
• No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.

Salary

• Professor: Pay Level 14A — Rs. 1,68,900 to Rs. 2,20,400 per month
• Additional Professor: Pay Level 13A-2 — Rs. 1,48,200 to Rs. 2,11,400 per month
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A-1 — Rs. 1,38,300 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month
• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 12 — Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400 per month
• Plus DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules. Residential accommodation is available subject to availability.
• Employees are governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS) as per Ministry of Finance provisions.

• PwBD: Exempted (no fee)
• Deputation Candidates: Exempted (no fee)

• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. If applying for more than one post, a separate form and fee is required for each post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is in two stages:

1. Shortlisting Based on Bio-Data: The Selection Committee will screen applications on the basis of your bio-data, qualifications, and experience. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee a call for interview.
2. Interview (Personal Appearance): Only shortlisted candidates are called for interview at AIIMS Rishikesh. You must appear in person — online interviews via Skype, Viber, Zoom, or any electronic media are not accepted. Bring all original documents and self-attested photocopies at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Note: AIIMS Rishikesh administration reserves the right to decide whether to appoint selected candidates on Direct Recruitment or Deputation basis. Probation period is two years.

• Conduct and guide research projects, clinical studies, and publish findings in indexed medical journals
• Provide clinical care to patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency departments as per hospital assignment
• Evaluate and assess students through examinations, thesis supervision, and clinical assessments
• Participate in academic committees, department meetings, and institutional administrative activities
• Mentor junior faculty, residents, and post-doctoral fellows in clinical and research skills
• Follow standard treatment protocols, ethics guidelines, and hospital infection control procedures
• Contribute to community health programs, CMEs, workshops, and academic outreach initiatives
