ANIIMS Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), Sri Vijaya Puram has released a notification for 4 posts on a purely contractual basis for a period of one year, coterminous with regular recruitment. The posts cover two categories — a hospital support role (Mortuary Attendant) and statistical/research roles (Senior and Junior Investigator). These are temporary positions and selected candidates will not have any claim to regular appointment or permanent employee benefits.

Who Can Apply?

For Mortuary Attendant (2 posts):

• Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognised board
• Preferred: Candidates with 12th pass or higher qualification will be given preference
• Gender: Preferably male candidates
• Desirable Experience: Work experience in a mortuary, hospital, or forensic medicine department

For Senior Investigator (1 post):

• Qualification: Master's Degree in Statistics / Operational Research / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics, or in Economics / Mathematics / Commerce with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognised university or equivalent
• Desirable Experience: 2 years of experience in collection, compilation, interpretation and analysis of statistical data

For Junior Investigator (1 post):

• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics / Operation Research, or in Economics / Mathematics / Commerce with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognised university or equivalent
• Desirable: Computer Certificate from a recognised institute, OR 1 year of experience in collection, compilation, interpretation and analysis of statistical data

Age Limit

• Mortuary Attendant: 18 to 40 years (as on last date of application, i.e., 30 April 2026)
• Senior Investigator: 18 to 33 years (Male) / 18 to 38 years (Female)
• Junior Investigator: 18 to 33 years (Male) / 18 to 38 years (Female)

Salary

• Mortuary Attendant: Rs. 18,000 per month (consolidated)
• Junior Investigator: Rs. 25,500 per month (consolidated)
• Senior Investigator: Rs. 35,400 per month (consolidated)
• Note: These are purely contractual posts. No TA/DA is paid for appearing in the interview. No permanent employee benefits apply.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for these posts. Selection is based on:

1. Application Scrutiny: Applications are reviewed for eligibility and completeness.
2. Skill Test / Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a skill test and/or interview. The date and venue will be announced on the official ANIIMS website after scrutiny.

Note: The decision of the competent authority regarding selection will be final.

• Handle mortuary duties including receiving and maintaining records of deceased bodies (Mortuary Attendant)
• Assist forensic medicine staff and doctors with mortuary procedures and documentation
• Collect, compile, and analyse statistical data for assigned research or administrative projects (Investigators)
• Prepare reports and summaries based on interpreted data for senior officials
• Maintain proper data entry, filing, and record-keeping as per institutional guidelines
• Follow safety protocols, hygiene standards, and institutional rules at all times
• Assist in any other assigned duties related to the post within the department
