AIIMS Kalyani has released a notification to fill 2 Assistant Professor (Contractual) posts in the Department of Neurology. AIIMS Kalyani is one of the newer AIIMS set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to strengthen tertiary healthcare and medical education in West Bengal. No written exam is required — selection is entirely through a walk-in interview and document verification.

Who Can Apply?

• Medical Qualification: You need a medical qualification recognized under Schedule I, II, or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Postgraduate Route 1: An M.D. in Neurology (or an equivalent recognized qualification) plus 3 years of teaching or research experience after your M.D.
• Postgraduate Route 2: A D.M. in Neurology (2, 3, 5, or 6-year course after MBBS) with 1 year of teaching or research experience after your D.M. No experience is needed if you hold a 3-year or 6-year D.M. in Neurology.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 50 years as on the date of the walk-in interview (7 August 2026).

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 1,42,506 per month.
• No Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, or other benefits apply, since this is a contractual engagement.

Application Fee

• All candidates: Rs. 1,500 + 18% GST = Rs. 1,770
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of "AIIMS Kalyani Internal Resources Account", payable at Kalyani.
• The fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this post. Selection happens in the following stages:

1. Document Verification: Starts at 9:00 AM on the day of the interview.
2. Walk-in Interview: Held at 10:00 AM on 7 August 2026 at the Welcome Hall, Ground Floor, Administrative Block, AIIMS Kalyani.

Your reporting time is 8:30 AM. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
