AIIMS Bathinda MedTech Validation & Incubation Centre Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda is setting up a MedTech Validation & Incubation Centre under its Department of Community and Family Medicine, in partnership with the Stichting Blockchain For Impact Foundation (BFI), Netherlands. The Centre will act as a translational hub for medical devices, AI-enabled diagnostics, and digital health technologies — offering clinical validation, regulatory readiness support, and structured incubation for early-stage MedTech startups. To run this project, AIIMS Bathinda needs a Project Head to lead the Centre's strategy and operations, and a Project Coordinator to manage day-to-day coordination, data, and reporting. Both posts are purely contractual and co-terminus with the project — this is a good fit if you want hands-on experience in MedTech innovation, healthcare technology translation, and startup incubation at a premier medical institute.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Head (Senior Scientist) - Rs. 1,50,000/month:

• Qualification: MBBS, BDS, B.E./B.Tech, MBA, or an equivalent degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Device Engineering/Technology, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, AI & Machine Learning, Data Science, Healthcare Management, Technology Management, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, or another relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute.
• Experience: You need at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in medical device development, MedTech innovation, healthcare technology translation, biomedical engineering, digital health, AI-enabled healthcare technologies, startup incubation, or translational research — including at least 3 years in project leadership, programme management, or institutional research.
• Desirable: Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CDSCO, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 62304), AI/ML-based healthcare solutions, IPR management, and experience with ICMR, BIRAC, DST, DBT, or MeitY-funded projects.

For Project Coordinator (Technical Support) - Rs. 1,00,000/month:

• Qualification: A Master's degree (PhD/MPH/MSc/MTech) in Biostatistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Public Health, or an equivalent field from a recognized university/institute.
• Experience: You need at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in research coordination, project management, data management, or monitoring & evaluation of health/research projects.
• Skills: You must be proficient in data management and statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R, or Python, along with strong communication and coordination skills.

Age Limit

• For Project Head (Senior Scientist): Your age should not exceed 40 years.
• For Project Coordinator (Technical Support): Your age should not exceed 35 years.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government/Institute rules for reserved categories.
• Your age, qualifications, and experience will all be counted as on the last date for submission of applications.

Salary

• The Project Head (Senior Scientist) will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 1,50,000 per month.
• The Project Coordinator (Technical Support) will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 1,00,000 per month.
• No additional allowances or benefits will be given unless specifically approved under the project, and accommodation/hostel facilities are not provided by AIIMS Bathinda.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages by the Selection Committee of AIIMS Bathinda:

1. Application Screening: Your application will be checked against the eligibility criteria, academic qualifications, experience, and supporting documents.
2. Online Screening Interview: If shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview over video conferencing. The schedule will be sent to your registered email address.
3. Final In-Person Interview: Candidates who clear the online round will appear for a final interview before the Selection Committee at AIIMS Bathinda on 11 September 2026, between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

Mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call or selection, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
