Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), a Grant-in-Aid Institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and part of Tata Memorial Centre, has announced a Walk-In/Zoom Interview for the post of Medical Officer (On Contract Basis) in its Department of Medical Oncology. The position is initially for one year and is extendable based on the Centre's requirement. Freshers with MBBS can also apply — candidates with more than one year of oncology experience will be given preference. This is a great opportunity to work in one of India's premier cancer research and treatment institutions.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MBBS from a recognised university or institution.
• Experience: Candidates with more than 1 year of experience in oncology will be given preference. However, freshers can also apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years (as on the advertisement date, i.e., 16 April 2026)

Salary

• Consolidated salary: Rs. 99,000 to Rs. 1,14,000 per month
• The exact pay depends on your work experience.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through a direct interview. You can attend either in person or online via Zoom:

1. Walk-In Interview: Appear in person at Paymaster Shodhika, Recruitment Cell, Room No. PS-330, ACTREC, Sector-22, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai – 410 210 on 23 April 2026 (Thursday) between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Bring your bio-data, recent passport size photograph, Xerox copies of Aadhar Card, Pan Card, educational qualification certificates, and work experience certificates.
2. Zoom Interview: Email your bio-data, self-attested copies of certificates (date of birth proof, educational qualifications, experience), recent passport size photo, and scanned copies of Aadhar Card and Pan Card to recruitment@actrec.gov.in on or before 22 April 2026 (Wednesday) by 5:00 p.m.

• Take detailed initial patient history and obtain consents for tests and procedures
• Transcribe protocol details on the Medical Oncology Information System (MOIS)
• Counsel patients about adverse events, co-morbidities, and drug interactions
• Make online prescriptions after consultant approval and check drug completeness from pharmacy
• Perform follow-up checks on investigation compliance and chemotherapy toxicity grading
• Work in the Day Care Plus Wards under supervision of senior consultants
• Handle basic medical emergencies as a Casualty Medical Officer in day and night shifts
• Report all patient cases to the concerned Surgical or Medical Unit Resident or Consultant
