ACTREC Ad-hoc Consultant Anaesthesia Recruitment 2026

The Advanced Centre for Treatment Research & Education in Cancer (ACTREC), the R&D wing of the Tata Memorial Centre under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is looking for an Ad-hoc Consultant (Anaesthesia) in its Department of Anaesthesia, Critical Care & Pain. This is a 6-month contract post, extendable based on the Centre's requirements. Both a walk-in interview at the ACTREC campus and a Zoom interview option are available — making it accessible for candidates based anywhere in India.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.D. / D.N.B. (Anaesthesia) or an equivalent postgraduate degree in Anaesthesiology recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years post M.D./D.N.B. experience in Anaesthesia, specifically in a Teaching Hospital

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the advertisement date (08 April 2026)

Salary

• Consolidated salary of Rs. 1,40,000 per month
• Exact salary depends on your work experience
• This is a consolidated pay contract position — no separate pay bands or allowances

Selection Process (Walk-In / Zoom Interview)

There is no written exam. Selection is through a direct interview:

1. Walk-In Interview: Attend in person on Tuesday, 21st April 2026 between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm at Paymaster Shodhika, Recruitment Cell, Room No. PS-330, ACTREC, Sector-22, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai – 410 210
2. Zoom Interview (option): If you cannot attend in person, email your request for a Zoom interview to recruitment@actrec.gov.in by 20th April 2026 (Monday) before 5:30 pm. Attach your bio-data, self-attested copies of date of birth certificate, recent passport-size photograph, scanned copies of PAN Card, qualification certificates, and experience certificates
3. Document Verification: Bring all originals on the day of the interview

• Provide anaesthesia services for surgical, diagnostic, and interventional procedures in a cancer research and treatment setting
• Manage critical care patients in the ICU under the Department of Anaesthesia, Critical Care & Pain
• Assess patients pre-operatively and prepare anaesthesia plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage haemodynamic stability throughout procedures
• Handle post-operative pain management and recovery in liaison with surgical teams
• Respond to emergency cases and provide resuscitation support as required
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in departmental academic activities
• Comply with ACTREC's clinical protocols, infection control standards, and safety guidelines
