Post-wise Duties

Reader

Associate Professor

You will lead an established independent research programme, mentor researchers and graduate students, and strengthen collaborations within your field. Your record should show research leadership appropriate to a tenured appointment.

Professor

You will provide senior scientific leadership, shape ambitious research directions, guide students and early-career researchers, and contribute to the long-term academic development of the department or centre.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Rolling review: TIFR starts reviewing an application when it arrives and continues until it reaches a final decision, so you do not need to wait until the evaluation window closes.
• Minimum standard: Meeting the stated academic requirement does not guarantee an interview. The institute considers the quality, originality and impact of your research record.
• Fresh PhD cases: Outstanding fresh PhD holders may be considered exceptionally for an entry-level faculty position.
