RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, operates a Pan-India optic fiber network along railway tracks and manages MeitY-empanelled Tier-III Data Centres at Gurgaon and Secunderabad. RCIL is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to support its Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) hut and Data Centre construction projects in the Southern Region. This is a purely contractual engagement, initially for 2 years and extendable based on work requirement and performance. Note: the posted location of Secunderabad may change as per project requirement, and the number of posts shown is tentative — it may change depending on the actual progress of the project. This role suits engineers who understand both civil construction and the specific demands of Data Centre infrastructure. The notification reference number is RCIL/2026/P&A/03/SR, dated 07 August 2026.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Central Government, State Government, or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), specifically in Data Centre maintenance (on regular or outsourced roles).
• Certification (Preferable): Valid Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) certification as of the date of publication of the notice.
• Key Skills: Knowledge of executing OFC Huts (Optical Fiber Network cable) works.
• Key Skills: Civil works in Data Centre construction, including drawing preparation and quality testing.
• Soft Skills: Good communication and documentation skills, and the ability to follow established procedures and protocols.
• If Already Employed: If you currently work in a Government organization or PSU, you must upload a declaration confirming that you have informed your employer in writing about this application, and produce a No Objection Certificate before final selection.
• Note: Applications finally empaneled after the selection process will be inducted as per the actual requirement and progress of the project, so the number of posts filled may change.

Note: There is no application fee for this recruitment.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 30 years old as on the last date of application, i.e. 28 August 2026, which is also the cutoff date for all eligibility conditions.

Salary

• Selected candidates get a pay scale of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 per month, with an annual increment of 3%.
• You also get HRA, DA, and other allowances as applicable.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

RailTel will select you through 2 stages:

1. Interview: The tentative interview date will be notified after the application closing date.
2. Medical Examination: Final empanelment depends on you being found medically fit by a RailTel-designated medical authority.

Your selection stays provisional until RailTel verifies your character, antecedents, and submitted documents including your caste certificate. This is a contractual role — you'll need to sign a one-year Service Agreement at the time of engagement, and a notice period of 3 months applies if you resign before completing your term. RailTel has not authorized any agent or agency for this recruitment — beware of touts promising jobs through influence. No travelling expenses are paid for appearing in the screening, interview, or medical examination.
