North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is building the teaching team for its Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at the Shillong campus for the 2026-27 academic session. These are guest-faculty engagements for the current semester, designed to support classes until the semester ends or regular faculty join, whichever happens first. Selection does not guarantee a fixed teaching load because the university will use guest faculty according to actual class requirements. Posts and Disciplines

• B.Sc. B.Ed. subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany and Mathematics support the programme's science-content courses at Shillong.
• B.A. B.Ed. subjects: English, Khasi, Economics, Political Science, Geography and History cover language, social-science and humanities teaching.
• Pedagogy of Physical Sciences: this role connects Physics, Chemistry or Physical Science knowledge with methods of teaching those subjects.
• Pedagogy of Khasi: this role combines postgraduate Khasi study with education-focused teaching practice.
• Art Education: Performing or Visual Arts specialists contribute the arts component of the integrated programme.
• Educational Studies: Education specialists support the programme's foundations, with Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology or allied postgraduate study listed as desirable.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Short tenure: appointment lasts for the current semester or until regular faculty join the department, whichever is earlier.
• Class allocation: selection alone does not promise a particular number of classes; deployment depends on university requirements.
• Benefits: guest or part-time faculty do not receive vacation pay, medical reimbursement, pension or gratuity.
• Interview mode: interviews will be conducted in blended mode, and the concerned department will notify the schedule.
• Shortlisting: meeting the basic academic standard does not automatically secure an interview call; NEHU may limit the number called.
• Regulatory standard: eligibility follows UGC Regulations 2018 or the latest applicable AICTE regulations and later guidelines.
• Travel: NEHU will not pay TA or DA for attending an offline interview.
