Mizoram PSC is hiring 8 Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVI) in the Transport Department of the Government of Mizoram. If you have passed HSLC or above with a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering and hold a driving licence for motorcycle and Light Motor Vehicle, you can apply online. Mizoram PSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Recruitment 2026 - 8 Posts (Advertisement No. 11 of 2026-2027)

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has released Advertisement No. 11 of 2026-2027 to fill 8 Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) posts in the Transport Department, Government of Mizoram. These are Group 'B' (Non-Gazetted) regular posts. Selection is through a written examination conducted by MPSC plus a Mizo language qualifying test. Diploma holders in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with a valid driving licence for motorcycle (with gear) and LMV are eligible.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed HSLC or above with a 3-year Diploma or higher in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering from a recognised Institution.
• Driving Licence: You must hold a valid driving licence authorising you to drive a Motorcycle with gear and a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV).
• Computer Proficiency: You need computer proficiency as prescribed under the Mizoram Group A, B and C posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: You must pass the qualifying test in Mizo. If you studied Mizo in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or took Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram, the test is waived.
• Government Servants: Must apply through proper channel.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Upper age is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, or as notified by the government.
• HSLC/HSSLC certificate is accepted as age proof.

Salary

• You will be paid in Pay Level 7 of the Pay Matrix.
• The pay range is approximately Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month (7th CPC).
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Mizoram Government rules.

• Fee is paid online through the MPSC portal (UPI must use the registered mobile number).
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): No fee — fully exempted.
• Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process

The selection happens in the following stages:

1. Written Examination: Conducted by MPSC at all district headquarters of Mizoram. The detailed syllabus is available on the Commission's website.
2. Mizo Language Proficiency Test: Qualifying test (waived if you studied Mizo in HSLC or MIL).
3. Document Verification against uploaded certificates and driving licence.

3. Fill in the online application form for Advertisement No. 11 of 2026-2027.

5. Pay the application fee online (PwD candidates are exempted).
