Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Geological Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 6 Posts

The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released notification Category No. 46/2026 for 6 Geological Assistant posts in the Land Use Department. This is a direct recruitment to a permanent Kerala Government post. Post graduates in Geology or Marine Geology can apply online through the One Time Registration (OTR) system on the Kerala PSC website.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Geology or Marine Geology (or an equivalent qualification) from a UGC-recognised university, a National Institute set up by the Government of India, or an institution set up by the Government of Kerala.
• Registration: You must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the Kerala PSC website before you can apply.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old. Only candidates born between 02 January 1986 and 01 January 2008 (both dates included) can apply.
• Age Relaxation: Usual age relaxation applies for SC/ST and Other Backward Communities as per the General Conditions in Part II of the Gazette Notification.

Salary

• The pay scale for this post is Rs. 43,400 to Rs. 91,200 per month.
• You will also get DA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection is done by the Kerala PSC based on the notification:

1. Written / OMR / Online Test (if conducted): If a test is held, you must submit a confirmation through your OTR profile to get your admission ticket. The exam date and details will be published in the Kerala PSC Examination Calendar.
2. Document Verification: You must produce original documents for qualification, age and community when called.

A ranked list of selected candidates will be published and will stay valid for a minimum of one year (up to a maximum of three years). After joining, you will be on probation for two years within a continuous period of three years, and you must pass the Account Test (Lower or Higher) during probation.
