The University of Kashmir, Srinagar (NAAC A++) has released Advertisement Notice-IX inviting online applications for engagement of Contractual Assistant Professors & Contractual Instructors for Academic Session 2026. The engagement is purely a need-based academic arrangement at the Main Campus and South Campus. The last date to submit the online application is 25th March 2026.

Who Can Apply?

Arabic (Main Campus) & Urdu (South Campus)

• Master's degree from a recognized University in the relevant subject/discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade points.
• Must have qualified NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D.
• Desirable (Arabic): Good command of Arabic to English translation and vice-versa; knowledge of Linguistics, Balagah, Quranic Sciences, Classical Poetry, Modern Poetry, Classical & Modern Pros, Literary Criticism.

Sculpture & Applied Art Instructors (IMFA)

• Master's degree from a recognized University in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade points.
• Must have qualified NET/SET/Ph.D.

Salary

• Wages will be fixed as per University norms applicable on the cut-off/last date of application, based on the qualification possessed.
• Engagement is purely need-based for Academic Session 2026.

Application Fee

• Rs. 250/- per application form.
• Rs. 100/- extra for every additional application form.
• Payment through online mode only.

Selection Process

1. Interview — Conducted by the concerned School. Candidates should stay in touch with the Deans of the Schools regarding date, venue and time of the interview.
2. Document Verification — Original certificates must be produced at the time of interview.

Selected candidates must submit an undertaking duly sworn-in before a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate confirming the engagement terms.

3. Fill the online application form and pay the fee online.
4. Download and print the completed application form.
5. Submit the hard copy along with relevant documents to the office of the Dean, School of Arts, Languages & Literature on or before 27th March 2026.
