IIT Gandhinagar Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has released a notification (Advt. No. OTH/13470/Advt0245, dated 1 July 2026) for 1 Project Associate-I post under Principal Investigator Prof. Manish Jain in the Center for Creative Learning. The role is part of the project "30-30 Eklavya 2024-26", which focuses on building better ways to teach computer science and computer systems. This is a temporary position for 1 year. Because it is a project (contract) role, it suits people who want full-time, hands-on work in education technology and computer science pedagogy for a fixed period rather than a permanent post.

What You Will Work On

As the Project Associate-I, you will help build learning tools, videos and software that make computer science easier to understand. The work involves computer systems pedagogy — for example, creating hands-on resources with breadboards and discrete ICs for courses like digital systems, computer architecture and operating systems, and sharing teaching software through platforms like GitHub. You will combine your coding and hardware skills with a strong interest in teaching to create resources that students across the country can use.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics, IT or an allied discipline.
• Marks: You need at least 60% (or equivalent grade) from graduation onwards, and at least 55% in Class 10 and Class 12.
• Degree status: You must have already completed the qualifying degree and obtained your final year/final semester marksheet before the advertisement date (1 July 2026).

Skills That Give You an Edge

• Experience in computer science/systems pedagogical research or education conferences and trainings
• Experience creating pedagogical videos or learning tools
• Experience building and sharing teaching software (for example via GitHub)

Salary

• You will get Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, depending on your qualification and experience.
