The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has invited applications for 2 contractual positions — Senior Research Associate and Senior Consultant — in its School of Business Environment, working on a UN Project focused on responsible business conduct and gender-responsive practices. Both posts are on a purely contractual basis for one year, extendable based on performance. Who Can Apply?

For Senior Research Associate (Rs. 75,000/month):

• Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Sustainability, ESG, Public Policy, Development Studies, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Corporate Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in sustainability, ESG, responsible business conduct, gender equality, corporate governance, public policy, development sector programmes, research, or consulting.
• Preferred: Experience working with UN agencies or multilateral institutions; exposure to NGRBC, BRSR, ESG disclosures, SDGs, and gender-responsive business practices.
• Desired Competencies: Strong research, drafting and stakeholder engagement skills; high level of professionalism and integrity.

For Senior Consultant (Rs. 66,000/month):

• Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in research, sustainability, ESG, corporate responsibility, policy research, regulatory analysis, or the development sector.
• Preferred: Experience in industry associations, consulting firms, or corporate sustainability functions; proficiency in Excel and data tools like SPSS or R; experience handling government eProcurement systems and tenders.
• Desired Competencies: Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Salary

• Senior Research Associate: Consolidated salary of Rs. 75,000 per month.
• Senior Consultant: Consolidated salary of Rs. 66,000 per month.
• No other allowances are payable, except TA/DA when travelling outside headquarters as admissible.
• The contract is initially for one year; your performance will be reviewed after the first three months, and the engagement continues for the full year if your performance is satisfactory.
• Either side can end the contract by giving two months notice, or two months consolidated pay in lieu of notice.
• You will be expected to maintain the same decorum and discipline as a Central Government Officer, and this contract does not entitle you to a regular government appointment.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

1. Written Test and/or Interview: Conducted by a Selection Committee constituted by IICA. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
