IGIMS Patna is hiring 6 Senior Residents for the Department of Orthopaedics on an ad-hoc basis for 89 days. If you hold an MS or DNB in Orthopaedics and want to work at one of Bihar's top medical institutes, this walk-in interview is your opportunity.

Selection Process
You need to appear for a walk-in interview at IGIMS Patna on 23 March 2026. Document verification happens between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM, and the actual interview starts at 11:00 AM. Make sure you reach the venue before 10:30 AM — late reporting will not be accepted.
The selection is scored out of 100 marks, covering your MBBS and PG performance, publications, poster presentations, academic awards, specialized training, research projects, and a subject knowledge assessment worth 20 marks. The minimum qualifying score is 50 percentile for UR, 45 percentile for BC/EBC/EWS, and 40 percentile for SC/ST candidates.
Interview Venue
Room No. 325, H.O.D. Chamber, 3rd Floor, Ward Block, I.G.I.M.S., Patna-14. Report between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM with your filled application form, demand draft, and all original documents.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to orthopaedic patients under the guidance of senior faculty
- Assist in orthopaedic surgeries and post-operative patient management
- Attend OPD and emergency duties as assigned by the department
- Maintain patient records and participate in academic activities of the department
- Work in shifts including night duties and weekend rotations as required
- Stay on campus if accommodation is provided by the institute

Minimum Qualification
MBBS + MS/DNB in Orthopaedics with Central/State Medical Council Registration
Preferred Qualification
Additional qualifications, PubMed publications, specialized training in Orthopaedics
Required Skills
NMC recognized PG qualification (MS/DNB), valid medical council registration

18 - 45 years (as on 23 Mar 2026)
