Government Medical College, Thiruvallur is filling Lab Technician Grade-II and Van Driver posts on a contract basis at its campus in Block-1, Master Plan Complex, Perumbakkam Village, Thiruvallur. • Lab Technician Grade-II: laboratory posts in the Government Medical College and Hospital, Thiruvallur. You need a DMLT course passed in a government institution along with schooling from a Tamil Nadu recognised school, plus hands-on knowledge of lab technician work.
• Van Driver (Contract): a driving post attached to the medical college. A heavy vehicle licence is compulsory here, not optional, and the notice asks for practical knowledge of the driving field.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract engagement: both posts are on consolidated pay, which means a fixed monthly amount with no pay-matrix increment, allowance or annual raise attached.
• Experience is essential: the notice asks for one year of experience in the relevant line for both posts — freshers are not covered by this notice.
• Schooling must be from Tamil Nadu: the qualifying school certificates have to come from an institution recognised by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
• Government institution DMLT: for the technician posts the college specifically wants the DMLT course passed in a Government institution.
• Age differs by post: the driver post and the technician posts do not share the same age band — check the age limit shown for each one before you apply.

The district administration's notice says the office must receive it by 5.00 PM on the closing day, so ordinary post sent at the last minute is a real risk.
