Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital (LBSH) is recruiting Senior Residents in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Khichripur, Delhi. This is an ad-hoc engagement under the hospital's residency scheme, with continuation linked to performance and the arrival of a regular appointee.

The notice includes a conditional continuation of the walk-in drive if no suitable candidate appears on the scheduled day. That condition matters if you are considering attending later: it does not create an unconditional extended application window.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: You join for 44 days. Further 44-day terms can follow with a one-day break, a written request from you and a recommendation from the concerned in-charge.
• Overall tenure: The maximum residency period is three years, including earlier ad-hoc or regular Senior Resident service at recognised teaching or non-teaching institutions. The engagement can end earlier when a regular incumbent joins.
• Reserved-category conditions: The hospital accepts OBC and EWS certificates issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi. OBC applicants need a valid non-creamy-layer certificate, and the relevant certificates must predate the interview.
• Category substitution: If suitable applicants from the notified reserved categories are unavailable, the hospital may consider another suitable applicant under the notice's conditions.
• Other clinical work: At joining, you must undertake that you are not working at another government or private healthcare facility. You cannot continue such outside work during this hospital engagement.
• Posting flexibility: In an emergency, you may be posted elsewhere for patient care or public interest.
• Ending the engagement: Either side can end the ad-hoc appointment with seven days' notice, without giving a reason.
• Travel: The hospital will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview.
• Hospital discretion: The available positions may change. The competent authority can amend or cancel the interview and decide disputes concerning recruitment.
