AAAGH Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview
Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital (AAAGH) is recruiting Senior Residents on an ad-hoc basis at its Rajpur Road hospital in Delhi. The notice covers Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynaecology under the hospital's residency scheme, with appointments linked to available or expected openings.
Your continuation depends on performance, work and conduct, as well as the appointment of a regular doctor. The notice sets out both an initial engagement and a ceiling on total residency service, so earlier Senior Resident work also matters.

Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial tenure: The appointment starts with 89 days. Further continuation needs satisfactory performance and conduct, a report from the concerned head of department and your written request.
- Maximum service: Total Senior Resident tenure cannot exceed three years, counting earlier ad-hoc and regular service at recognised institutions. The engagement can also end when a regular Senior Resident or permanent doctor joins, whichever happens earlier.
- Availability: The hospital may fill positions in phases, and the notified position can change with actual availability.
- Reservation: Delhi Government-issued OBC certification is needed for an OBC claim. If suitable SC, ST or OBC applicants are unavailable, the hospital may fill the position from another category for an ad-hoc term.
- Travel costs: You must arrange your own travel. The hospital will not pay travel or daily allowances for the interview.
- Termination and resignation: The Medical Superintendent can end the appointment without giving a reason. If you choose to resign, you must give seven days' prior notice.
- Joining: You must join within seven working days of the offer letter. The offer lapses if you miss that limit, and the notice rules out an extension.
- Accuracy of declarations: False information or deliberately hidden facts can lead to cancellation, termination and administrative or legal action.
- Disputes and changes: The Medical Superintendent's decision is final, and legal disputes fall under Delhi or New Delhi jurisdiction. The authority may amend or cancel the advertisement.

Minimum Qualification
MBBS with a postgraduate degree, diploma or DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognised university or institution; DMC registration covering MBBS and the postgraduate qualification, or proof of having applied for registration at interview. You must not have completed three years of Senior Residency.
