ESIC Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026 — 70 Vacancies

ESIC is hiring 70 Teaching Faculty posts on contract basis for ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka, Kolkata. The posts include Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Assistant Professor (Statistician). If you have an MD/MS/DNB in the relevant subject with the required teaching experience, you can attend the walk-in interview on 25 and 26 May 2026. Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has released Advertisement No. 04 of 2026 to fill 70 teaching faculty posts at ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College located at Joka, Kolkata-700104. The selection is through walk-in interview only — no written exam. Out of 100 total vacancies (provisional), 4 are reserved for PWD candidates in identified posts. Retired candidates from Central/State Govt/PSU are also eligible to apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor (8 year post PG experience required)

• Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject
• Experience: 3 years as Associate Professor in a recognised medical institution
• Research: 2 research publications after becoming Associate Professor
• Basic Course in Biomedical Research from a recognised medical institution

For Associate Professor (5 years post PG experience required)

• Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject
• Experience: 4 years as Assistant Professor (or 5 years for direct appointees)
• Research: 2 publications after becoming Assistant Professor

For Assistant Professor

• Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject
• Experience: 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject
• Diploma holders with relevant experience are also eligible (with conditions)

For Assistant Professor (Statistician)

• Master of Science degree in Health Statistics or Medical Statistics or Biostatistics or Statistics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree

For Assistant Professor (Dental)

• MDS degree + One year as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Lecturer in a recognised medical or dental college

Non-medical faculty in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology may apply with MSc + PhD in the relevant medical subject.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 69 years on the date of document verification and interview
• Retired candidates from Central/State Govt/PSU from equivalent posts are eligible to apply
• Persons working in recognised/approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling the eligibility criteria may also apply

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 2,60,226 per month (consolidated)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,73,045 per month (consolidated)
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,48,669 per month (consolidated)
• Assistant Professor (Statistician): Rs. 1,27,276 per month (consolidated)
• Transport allowance with DA on transport allowance as per rules
• DA on the sum of minimum pay of the pay level + 20% NPA as per Govt of India rules
• No private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC

• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. I" payable at Kolkata
• The Demand Draft must be issued after the date of issue of this advertisement

• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Document Verification: Report between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM at Academic Block, 2nd Floor of ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka. Candidates reporting beyond 10:30 AM will not be considered.
2. Personal Interview: Selection will be made purely on the basis of performance in the interview before the Selection Board.
3. Result Declaration: Result will be published on the official website.

How to Apply

1. Download the prescribed application form and detailed notification from www.esic.gov.in
2. Fill in the application form (print on A4 size paper) with two recent self-attested colour passport size photographs
3. Prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. I" payable at Kolkata (skip if exempted)
4. Carry self-attested copies of all required certificates along with original documents
5. Appear for the walk-in interview at ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Diamond Harbour Road, Joka, Kolkata-700104 on the scheduled date
6. Submit the application form at the time of document verification on the day of interview
