Central Bank of India is engaging 4,500 Apprentices for FY 2026-27. Graduates registered on the NATS portal can apply online. The last date for online registration has been extended from 22 June 2026 to 28 June 2026. The stipend is Rs. 15,000 per month for 12 months.

Central Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 4500 Seats

Central Bank of India released this apprentice notification for training seats across India. The extension notice only changes the online registration deadline; vacancies, eligibility, age, fee and selection terms remain as in the original notification.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • NATS registration: You must be registered on the NATS portal.
  • Age limit: 20 to 28 years as on 31 May 2026; relaxation applies as per Government of India rules.
  • Training duration: 12 months.

Stipend

  • Selected apprentices will get a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month.
  • No other allowances or benefits are payable.

Application Fee

  • General/EWS/OBC male: Rs. 944 including GST.
  • General/EWS/OBC female: Rs. 708 including GST.
  • SC/ST, PwBD and Transgender candidates: Rs. 236 including GST.
  • Payment mode: Online only.

Selection Process

The selection process has online test, local language test, document verification and medical fitness stages.

  1. Online Test: 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Sections include General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, General English and Central Bank products/services.
  2. Local Language Test: You must qualify in the specified local language of the state applied for, unless exempted through 10th or 12th marksheet proof.
  3. Document Verification: Date of birth, category, educational qualification and application details will be checked.
  4. Medical Fitness: Final engagement is subject to being found medically fit.

  1. Register on the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in.
  2. Complete the Central Bank apprenticeship application through the official application links.
  3. Fill in your details, select the state/district preferences and upload required documents.
  4. Pay the applicable fee online.
  5. Submit the application before 28 June 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Handle basic banking service tasks during branch or office training
  • Keep learning records and complete assigned apprenticeship activities
  • Assist bank staff with customer service, documentation and routine support work
  • Follow Central Bank of India rules, conduct standards and data privacy practices
  • Work with supervisors to understand banking products, services and branch processes
  • Prepare simple reports and update training-related information when asked
  • Monitor emails, portal updates and instructions from the Bank and BFSI SSC

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university; graduation completed on or after 01 January 2022; NATS registration required.

Required Skills

Proficiency in the official/local language of the state applied for.

Age Limit

20 - 28 years (as on 31 May 2026)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwBD UR/EWS: 10 years
  • PwBD OBC: 13 years
  • PwBD SC/ST: 15 years
  • Widows, divorced women and legally separated women not remarried: up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST

Exam Pattern

The online exam will have 100 objective questions for 100 marks. You will get 60 minutes to complete the test.

  • Computer Knowledge: 20 questions for 20 marks, English/Hindi medium

  • Central Bank of India Products and Services: 20 questions for 20 marks, English medium

Negative Marking: There will be no negative marks for wrong answers.

Exam Type: Online objective test conducted by BFSI SSC.
