Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Ministry of Defence enterprise, is engaging an Advisor (Business Development) for its National Marketing Division in Delhi. BEL works across military and civil radar, defence communication, naval systems, homeland security, electronic warfare and electro-optics, so this role is built for someone who already understands the defence customer environment. The engagement is temporary and advisory rather than a regular executive appointment.

The advisor will report to the Director (Marketing) and help connect BEL's product teams with the Indian Armed Forces and other defence stakeholders. The notice particularly values experience spanning military radar, sensor systems, strategic networks, digital transformation, defence AI and cyber security. Exposure to international institutions, geopolitics and integrated defence planning can also strengthen your fit.

This is a senior domain role where your value comes from industry judgement, institutional relationships and mentoring, not routine sales activity. You may work with marketing and commercial teams across BEL and with other entities identified for a business need. You should be comfortable turning operational insight into practical business direction for future defence systems.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement period: The initial term is one year. BEL may extend it year by year for up to three years in total, or until the advisor reaches 65, whichever comes first; extension depends on business need.
• Hybrid working: You may work from a BEL unit, office, on-site location or your residence, but at least eight working days each month must be spent at a unit, office or site.
• Mobility: You must be willing to travel extensively and relocate anywhere in India when project work needs it.
• Conflict restriction: An external advisor who remains bound by a confidentiality-cum-non-compete agreement with a previous employer cannot apply.
• Clearance: Your record must be clear from vigilance and disciplinary angles when you leave your previous organisation.
• Citizenship: Only Indian nationals can apply.
