AIIMS Nagpur PTS III STAR NCD Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur is recruiting a Project Technical Support-III for the ICMR-funded STAR NCD implementation-research project in its Department of Community Medicine. The study focuses on strengthening ambulatory care for non-communicable diseases, and the selected person will support work across Nagpur district under the project investigators.

This is a field-facing research support role rather than a regular hospital or institute cadre post. Your work may take you to both rural and urban parts of the district, so the position fits someone comfortable speaking with communities, coordinating locally and keeping project information organised. The qualification routes recognise both experienced graduates from relevant social or life-science fields and candidates with a relevant postgraduate degree.

The project sits at the intersection of community medicine, social research and health-service implementation. That means the role is likely to involve careful coordination around project activities, accurate records and practical support for research delivery, while working under the directions of the principal and co-principal investigators.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Project tenure: the first appointment is for 11 months and can continue only up to the project end date of 30 March 2027, depending on project need and performance.
  • No regular claim: this is not a regular ICMR or AIIMS Nagpur post, and the experience does not create a right to permanent employment with either institution.
  • Performance review: renewal needs a satisfactory evaluation by the project investigator and approval from the Director.
  • Early termination: unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination with one week's notice.
  • Resignation notice: if you leave the project, you must give 30 days' notice.
  • Language use: you should speak English, Marathi and Hindi fluently for district-level coordination.
  • Travel readiness: the role includes movement within rural and urban areas of Nagpur district.
  • Interview costs: the institute will not pay TA or DA for attending the interview.

AIIMS Nagpur will publish recruitment updates, eligibility lists, interview information, results and any amendment on its own website. You should monitor the institute site after applying, because the notice says individual communication will not be sent to every applicant.

Application Submission Notes

The application is accepted through the Google Form named in the official notice. Use the prescribed Annexure CV rather than a general resume: fill it, sign it, scan it and upload it in the designated form field.

Make sure the information in your uploaded form supports the education and work-history claims you make. Generalised CV uploads are specifically discouraged, and late applications are not accepted. Questions about the project recruitment can be sent to starncdnagpur@gmail.com.
