Selection Process
There is no written exam for this recruitment. AAI will shortlist candidates purely based on merit — your percentage of marks in the qualifying examination determines your rank. If two candidates have the same marks, date of birth is used as a tiebreaker, followed by date of passing. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Medical Officer before joining.
Responsibilities
- Undergo structured apprenticeship training for 12 months at the assigned AAI airport or office
- Learn and assist in day-to-day operations related to your engineering or trade discipline
- Follow all training schedules, safety protocols, and organizational policies during the apprenticeship period
- Maintain discipline and comply with the Apprentices Act, 1961 and AAI rules throughout the training
- Sign and accept the contract of apprenticeship on the NATS/NAPS portal upon joining
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
B.E./B.Tech (4 years) or Diploma (3 years) in relevant engineering stream recognized by AICTE, or ITI/NCVT certificate in COPA/Steno trade
Preferred Qualification
Candidates who passed degree/diploma in or after 2022
Age Limit
18 - 26 years (as on 31 Mar 2026)

Pay Scale
Graduate Apprentice: Rs 15,000/month (AAI Rs 10,500 + Govt Rs 4,500 DBT) | Diploma Apprentice: Rs 12,000/month (AAI Rs 8,000 + Govt Rs 4,000 DBT) | ITI Apprentice: Rs 9,600/month
Allowances
Stipend as per Apprentices Act 1961. Government share paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
