Raigad Zilla Parishad, Alibag, through its Health Department, is hiring MBBS Medical Officers on an 11-month contract basis under the National Health Mission. These positions are for Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in tribal, remote, and other areas of Raigad district. The appointment is purely on honorarium — there are no government service benefits like NPS, insurance, or fixed increments. This is a walk-in recruitment — you need to appear in person at the District Health Officer's office.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from a recognised university.
• Registration: You must be registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council.
• Domicile: Candidates from Maharashtra are eligible.
• Experience: Freshers can apply. No prior experience required.

Note: Doctors who were previously terminated from service, those absent without approved leave, and those who violated government rules will not be considered for reappointment.

Age Limit

• Maximum age for application: 38 years
• Last age limit (with relaxation): 43 years

Honorarium (Salary)

• Tribal and Remote Areas: Rs. 60,000 per month
• Other Areas: Rs. 55,000 per month
• AYUSH Medical Officers: Rs. 40,000 per month (inclusive of EPF contribution)
• Additional allowance: Rs. 100 per day for stationery and stamp expenses

Note: This is a contractual position. No government benefits like NPS, insurance, fixed increments, or permanent absorption are applicable. The appointment does not confer any right to regular government service.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

1. Merit-Based Selection: Candidates will be selected based on seniority and merit of junior medical officers using the counting method (kantali paddhati).
