Women Development and Child Welfare Department (WDCW) Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 - 178 Posts

The Women Development and Child Welfare Department (WDCW), Bhadradri Kothagudem district has released a notification to fill 178 Anganwadi Teacher (AWT) and Anganwadi Helper (AWH) posts across various Anganwadi centres in the district. These are grassroots jobs under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme that support the health, nutrition and early education of children and mothers. Only women candidates who belong to the local Gram Panchayat or ward of the vacant Anganwadi centre can apply.

Vacancy Details

A total of 178 posts are open across Anganwadi centres in the mandals of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, including Aswaraopeta, Burgampahad, Chandrugonda and Cherla. The posts cover both Anganwadi Teacher and Anganwadi Helper roles, and each centre is reserved category-wise (ST, SC, BC and OC) as per its local reservation.

Who Can Apply?

• Gender: Only women candidates can apply.
• Qualification (Anganwadi Teacher): You must have passed at least 10th class (SSC). An Intermediate (12th) pass is preferred.
• Qualification (Anganwadi Helper): You must have passed at least 8th class or 10th class.
• Local residence: You must be a permanent resident of the same Gram Panchayat (rural) or same ward (urban) where the Anganwadi centre is located.
• Language: You should be able to read, write and speak the local language (Telugu or Urdu).

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on the date of the notification.
• Age relaxation is given to SC, ST, BC and other reserved categories as per Telangana government rules.

Salary

• Anganwadi Teachers get a monthly honorarium of around Rs. 13,500 per month as per Telangana government rules.
• Anganwadi Helpers get a lower monthly honorarium. The exact honorarium is fixed by the state government and may be revised from time to time.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for these posts. Selection is done as follows:

1. Merit List: Candidates are shortlisted based on their educational marks and local residence in the Anganwadi centre area.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce their certificates for verification.
