Office of the Secretary (Revenue & Disaster Management), DNH & DD Data Entry Operator Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
The Office of the Secretary (Revenue & Disaster Management), U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNH & DD) has invited applications for 1 Data Entry Operator post to support its UT Disaster Management Cell in Daman. This is a contractual engagement for 12 months and there is no written exam for this post. Candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience and strong computer skills are preferred.
The UT Disaster Management Cell handles disaster preparedness, response and mitigation work for the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. As the Data Entry Operator, you will support this cell's day-to-day record keeping and coordination work, which makes basic computer skills and attention to detail important for this role. Since the post is on a contractual basis, it does not carry the same benefits as a regular government job, but it is a good opportunity to gain government office experience and build your resume.
Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu is a Union Territory formed by merging two former Union Territories in 2020, and its administration directly manages departments such as Revenue and Disaster Management from its Secretariat in Daman. Working in the UT Disaster Management Cell gives you exposure to how government disaster preparedness and response systems function, which can be useful if you want to build a long-term career in public administration or emergency management.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You need a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Computer Course: You must have a 1-year Diploma or Certificate Course in Computers.
- Typing Speed: You should be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Computer Skills: You need working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Reader, Internet and Email.
- Experience: You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar data entry position.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Government rules and procedures will be an added advantage.

Age Limit

Salary
- Selected candidates will get a fixed salary of Rs. 22,000 per month on a contractual basis.
- This post is purely contractual for a period of 12 months and does not carry regular government employee benefits.
Since this is a fixed monthly salary rather than a pay scale with increments, you will not get automatic annual increases or DA/HRA allowances unless your appointment letter specifically mentions them. Your contract may be renewed depending on project needs and your performance during the 12-month term, though this is at the discretion of the Department.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
The selection will be done through:

- Enter, update and retrieve data accurately using computer software
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing files, registers and daks
- Keep filing systems up to date and organized
- Collect information required by the Disaster Management Department
- Handle visitors and telephone calls in a courteous, professional manner
- Support the implementation of Disaster Management projects and works
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all recorded information
