Inspector of Co-operative Societies Medical Examination Notice 2026

The Directorate of Health Services, Government of West Bengal, has issued the schedule for the medical fitness examination of candidates recommended by WBPSC for the post of Inspector of Co-operative Societies under the Cooperation Directorate. Candidates with serial numbers 1 to 100 in the enclosed list must appear on 20 July 2026, while serial numbers 101 to 197 must appear on 24 July 2026, both at 10:30 AM. This is not a fresh recruitment call — it applies only to candidates who have already cleared the WBPSC selection process for this post. An Inspector of Co-operative Societies typically supervises and audits the working of primary agricultural credit societies, cooperative banks and other cooperative bodies within an assigned area in West Bengal.

This notice has been issued by the Deputy Director of Health Services (MERT) — the Medical Examination Requisite Team wing of the Directorate of Health Services — on the request of the Special Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Admin), Cooperation Directorate, Government of West Bengal. Once you clear the medical board, your final appointment order will be processed by the Cooperation Directorate. Candidates should note that no one will be allowed inside the examination hall after 11:00 AM on their scheduled date, so it is important to reach the venue well in time with all your documents and fee receipts ready.

Selection Process

Your selection for the Inspector of Co-operative Societies post goes through these stages:

  1. WBPSC Written Exam / Interview: Already completed — candidates have been recommended by the Commission.
  2. Medical Examination: Scheduled on 20 and 24 July 2026 at the Central Medical Board, Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata.
  3. Document Verification: Carry all listed documents for verification at the Medical Board.
  4. Final Appointment: Made by the Cooperation Directorate once your medical fitness is confirmed.

Medical Examination Fee

  • All candidates: Rs. 25 deposited at the RBI, a Government Treasury, or online via wbifms.gov.in (T.R. Form-7, in duplicate)
  • All candidates: an additional Rs. 75 in cash payable directly to the Medical Board as the medical examination fee

Documents to Carry for the Medical Examination

  1. Get an eye-check certificate from a registered Ophthalmologist, mentioning the power of lens/glass if any.
  2. Get a pathological (urine R/E) report from a competent pathologist showing specific gravity, albumin, sugar, cast and cells.
  3. Get a Chest X-Ray report with plate from a registered radiologist (exempted if pregnant).
  4. Carry 2 recent passport-size photographs (3.5cm x 4.5cm).
  5. Carry one photo ID proof (Aadhaar card or Voter card) with a self-attested photocopy.
  6. Carry your admit card of the examination (original and self-attested photocopy).
  7. If you are a PH (Persons with Disability) candidate, carry your original PH certificate with a self-attested photocopy.
  8. Deposit Rs. 25 at the treasury/RBI/online and bring the receipt, plus Rs. 75 in cash for the Medical Board.

No candidate will be allowed to enter the medical examination hall after 11:00 AM, so plan to arrive early with every document listed above.
