The Karyayojana (Working Plan) Division of Uttarakhand Forest Department, Uttarkashi is inviting applications for the post of Subject Matter Expert (Viषय Vastu Visheshagya) in the specialised field of Silviculture and Forest Management. This expert will assist the Working Plan Officer in field survey supervision and preparation of the Working Plan as per the current National Working Plan Code. The post is purely on contractual basis and is open to retired employees (pensioners/faculty/scientists/assistant forest consultants) from central and state government institutions or autonomous research organisations in the forestry sector. The headquarters is at Haldwani.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Degree: Post-graduation degree or Diploma in Forestry Science from an AICTE/UGC recognised university, institution, or equivalent.

Experience (Mandatory)

• Option A: Minimum 15 years of experience in silviculture and forest management in forest areas.
• Option B: Minimum 15 years of experience working in the silviculture and forest management department of any recognised central or state forestry institution.
• Knowledge of Uttarakhand geography is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, internet usage, and data analysis is required.

Who is Eligible?

• Retired/pensioned employees, faculty, scientists, or assistant forest consultants who were previously serving with central government, state government, or autonomous research institutions in the forestry sector.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 70 years
• There is no minimum age limit specified.

Salary

• Monthly Payment: Rs 60,000 per month (fixed contractual remuneration)
• HRA: House Rent Allowance as per government rules
• TA/DA: Travel Allowance and Daily Allowance admissible during field visit supervision

Selection Process

• Assist the Working Plan Officer in supervision of field survey activities in the Uttarkashi Forest Division
