The Office of the Collector (Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development), District Raigarh, Chhattisgarh is hiring 1 MIS Assistant (Assistant – Forest Rights Act) on a contract basis. Raigarh District MIS Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the Collector (Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development), District Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) has released the Third Vacancy Notice for the appointment of MIS Assistant (Assistant – Forest Rights Act). This post is being created under the Dharti Aba Tribal Village Elevation Campaign to support the effective implementation of the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006. The MIS Assistant will work at the sub-division level (उपखण्ड स्तर) in the Forest Rights Cell. This is a non-transferable, temporary contract post for 1 year, extendable subject to budget availability.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

  • You need a minimum Second Class Graduate degree (Snatak) from a recognised university.
  • You must have computer knowledge including MS Office and related software.

Experience Requirement

  • You must have a minimum of 2 years of field experience in implementing the Forest Rights Act 2006 in Chhattisgarh.
  • Experience as a District Project Coordinator or Field Worker in District-level or Sub-division-level Forest Rights Cell qualifies.
  • Candidates with relevant experience from a Chhattisgarh state government organisation or an FRA-registered NGO will get weightage — an experience certificate is mandatory.

Other Requirements

  • Domicile: You must be a resident of Chhattisgarh state. A valid domicile/residence certificate is required.
  • You should have general knowledge of tribal customs, traditions, and culture.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 40 years as on 01 January 2025.
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates is available as per Chhattisgarh Government rules.

Salary

  • Fixed monthly honorarium of Rs. 20,000 per month.
  • This is a contract-based position. No DA, HRA, or other government allowances are applicable.
  • The contract is for 1 year initially, with a possible extension to the 2nd year if budget is received under the Forest Rights Act scheme.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

  1. Screening of Applications: Applications will be reviewed for eligibility. Only valid and complete applications will be considered.
  2. Interview at District Headquarters: Shortlisted candidates will be called to the district headquarters for an interview. The interview committee is constituted by the District Collector.
  3. Merit List: Final selection is based on a merit formula — 50% weight for interview marks and 50% weight for graduation marks. Candidates must join duty within 2 weeks of selection; otherwise the next candidate on the waiting list will be considered.
  4. Document Verification: Original certificates including educational qualifications and experience letters will be verified at the time of interview.

Note: Travel expenses for attending the interview must be borne by the candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Forest Rights Branch at the sub-division level in data collection and analysis (FARs, MPARs, CPARs)
  • Conduct practical training for Forest Rights Committee members and Gram Sabha field workers on FRA sections 3(1) and 3(2) and related claim processes
  • Assist in the formation and reconstitution of sub-division level committees and support their meetings and resolutions
  • Handle documentation for forest rights recognition, update department records, and assist with land transfers and mutations
  • Operate and manage IT systems and MIS reporting tools used by the Tribal Development Department for FRA tracking
  • Conduct field visits to assess implementation challenges and coordinate solutions with committees, departments, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate between district-level officials, Gram Sabha members, and field-level workers to improve FRA claim resolution
  • Support awareness camps, workshops, and advisory meetings on Forest Rights Act provisions and procedures

Minimum Qualification

Second Class Graduate degree from a recognised university with computer knowledge (MS Office)

Preferred Qualification

Experience in Forest Rights Act 2006 implementation at district or sub-division level in Chhattisgarh. FRA experience from government or registered NGO gets weightage.
