MSEB Holding Company Ltd. (MSEBHCL) has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 dated 13 April 2026 inviting applications for the post of Director (Commercial) at Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL). MSEDCL is one of Maharashtra's largest power distribution utilities serving millions of consumers across the state. This is a top-level Board position suited for experienced power sector professionals with impeccable leadership and performance history. The post can also be filled on deputation basis for officers from Central/State Government and PSUs.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification & Experience

• You must be a Graduate Engineer with a minimum of 20 years of experience in the relevant field.
• You must have at least 5 years of experience at the level of Chief Engineer, of which 1 year must be at one position below the Board in a State Electricity Board or Board of Directors of a PSU in the power sector.
• Preferred: MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed Management School.
• Qualifications and experience may be relaxed by the Competent Selection Authority in deserving cases.

For Private Sector Executives

• You must be working in a company with annual turnover exceeding Rs. 500 crores.
• You must be at Board level or Non-Board level position reporting directly to the Board (one position below the Board of Directors).
• You must be working in a company listed on a stock exchange.

Ineligibility Note

• A candidate who has already held the post of Functional/Whole-time Director in MSEDCL for a maximum of 2 (Two) terms (including the presently serving/remaining term) is NOT eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 60 years
• Age is calculated as on the date of publication of this advertisement (13 April 2026).

Salary

• The salary for this post is largely comparable to similar-sized PSUs and is negotiable.
• Officers joining on deputation from Government/PSUs will be paid as per the normal rules of deputation applicable to their cadre.
• Accommodation: Unfurnished accommodation may be provided at a concessional rent subject to availability. If accommodation is not provided, HRA will be paid at the rate applicable to company employees.

Selection Process

2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at their own expense. Results will be communicated by email only.
