Who Can Apply?

Agricultural Engineer (Level 7 - Rs. 44,900/month):

• Degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience in testing/evaluation of agricultural machinery, or teaching/training experience in the field.

Medical Officer/Research Officer, Unani (Level 10 + NPA):

• Degree in Unani Medicine recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970, with enrolment on the Central or a State Register of Indian Medicine.

Scientist 'B' - Botany, Environmental Science, Geology, Physics, Zoology (Level 10):

• Master's degree in the relevant subject with 3 years of research experience after your qualification. A PhD in the subject is desirable.

Civilian Medical Officer (Level 10 + NPA):

• A recognized MBBS degree and completion of compulsory rotating internship. A postgraduate medical qualification is desirable.

Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor - Immuno-Haematology/Blood Transfusion, Surgical Oncology (Level 11 + NPA):

• MBBS plus a postgraduate degree in the relevant speciality, with at least 3 years of teaching experience as Senior Resident, Tutor, Registrar, or Assistant Professor.

Assistant Industrial Adviser (Level 10):

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Metallurgical, or Electronics & Communication Engineering with 3 years of experience in the steel industry.

Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Level 10 + NPA):

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and registration with the Veterinary Council of India or a State/UT Veterinary Council.

Age Limit

• Age limits vary by post — from 33 years (Agricultural Engineer, OBC) up to 43 years (Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor and Assistant Industrial Adviser, OBC), as on the closing date.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get up to 5 years, OBC candidates get up to 3 years, and PwBD candidates get up to 10 years relaxation (subject to a maximum age of 56 years).

Salary

• Agricultural Engineer: Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400)
• Scientist 'B', Medical Officer (Unani), Civilian Medical Officer, Assistant Industrial Adviser, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon: Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 - Rs. 1,77,500), plus NPA for medical posts
• Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor: Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700) plus NPA
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for these posts is done through:

1. Shortlisting: UPSC may shortlist candidates based on desirable qualifications or higher experience if applications are large in number.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear for a personal interview. The minimum qualifying marks are 50 for UR/EWS, 45 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates out of 100.
