UP Anganwadi Worker (Kanpur Nagar) Recruitment 2026 - 259 Posts

The Office of the District Programme Officer, Kanpur Nagar has released a notification to fill 259 vacant Anganwadi Worker posts in Anganwadi centres running under urban and rural projects of the district. These posts are filled on an honorarium (mandeya) and contract basis through a direct merit-based process. Only women candidates who are residents of the concerned Gram Sabha or Ward can apply. This is a great chance for local 12th-pass women who want to serve their own community and earn a monthly honorarium.

An Anganwadi Worker is the face of the government in her village or ward. You will look after the health, nutrition and early education of small children, and support pregnant women and new mothers. Because the post is filled only from your own Gram Sabha or Ward, you get a respected government-linked role close to your home without travelling far. The selection is done online and is free of cost, so any eligible local woman can apply easily from her phone.
