The Office of the District Judge, Kendrapara has released Advertisement No. 03 of 2026 to fill 19 vacancies in the Kendrapara judgeship on a regular (permanent) basis. These are Odisha government jobs under the Odisha District and Civil Courts' Judicial Staff Services Rules. Category-wise split: Vacancies are reserved across ST, SC, SEBC and UR (Unreserved) categories, with some posts reserved for women. If a suitable woman candidate is not found, that post is filled by a male candidate of the same category.
Who Can Apply?
For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Stenographer Grade-III and Junior Typist:
- Qualification: You must have passed the +3 examination (graduation) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Computer: You must hold a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institute.
- Language: You must be able to speak, read and write Odia (Oriya) and have passed an Oriya test of Middle English (M.E.) standard.
- For Stenographer Grade-III: minimum 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 wpm in typewriting on a computer.
- For Junior Typist: minimum 40 words per minute in typewriting on a computer.
For Salaried Amin:
- Qualification: You must have passed Matriculation (HSC) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.
- Training: You must have completed Revenue Inspector Training.
- Language: You must know Odia (Oriya) at M.E. standard.
Government servants must apply through proper channel and attach a No Objection Certificate.
Age Limit
- You should be over 18 years and below 42 years of age as on 1 May 2026.
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories (SC/ST/SEBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen) as per Odisha Government rules.
Salary
- Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist and Junior Typist: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month (Level-4).
- Salaried Amin: Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month (Level-5).
- Stenographer Grade-III: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (Level-7).
- You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as per Odisha Government rules.

Selection Process
Selection is done in the following stages:
- Career Merit List: A merit list is prepared from your marks in HSC, +2 and +3 exams. Up to 20 times the vacancies in each category are called for the written test.
- Written Test: Papers on English, Arithmetic and General Knowledge (for Clerk and Amin). You must score at least 35% in each paper to qualify.
- Skill Test: Computer Science Practical Test for all posts, plus a Shorthand/Typewriting test for Stenographer Grade-III and Junior Typist. The computer test cut-off is 50% (40% for SC/ST).
- Viva-Voce (Interview): Final personality and suitability test.
You must bring your original certificates for verification at the time of the Viva-Voce test.

- Attach self-attested copies of all required certificates and documents.
- Enclose three self-addressed envelopes with a Rs. 60 postage stamp on each for Speed Post call letters.

- Send it by Speed Post to reach the Office of the District Judge, Civil Courts, Kendrapara, PIN-754211, or drop it in the Drop Box at the Civil Courts premises.

Responsibilities
- Handle clerical, copying and record-keeping work in the district court office
- Prepare, type and format court documents, orders and case files
- Take dictation in shorthand and transcribe it accurately (Stenographer post)
- Maintain case registers and update records using computer systems
- Carry out survey and land settlement measurement work (Salaried Amin post)
- Assist judicial officers and staff with day-to-day office tasks
- Keep documents safe, organised and ready for court hearings

- Part-III: Viva-Voce (45 marks).
