TMC Visiting Consultant Radiodiagnosis Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is looking for a Visiting Consultant in Radiodiagnosis for its Varanasi unit, which runs Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HBCH) and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (MPMMCC) on the BHU campus. This is a part-time contractual role paid by the hour, not a regular faculty post — your hourly rate depends on how many years of experience you have after your postgraduate degree.

The post suits radiologists who want to read cancer imaging at a large government cancer hospital without giving up their current practice. Selection is through a walk-in interview in Varanasi, and candidates from outside the city can ask for an online interview instead.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement: Purely contractual and part-time, starting with one year. TMC may extend it depending on your performance and the institute's needs.
• Experience bands: The hourly rate is fixed in four bands of post-qualification experience — up to 5 years, 5 to 10 years, 10 to 15 years, and 15 years or more. Senior radiologists get a higher rate.
• Working-hour caps: Paid hours are limited to 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and 160 hours a month, so your monthly earning has a ceiling.
• Rate revision: The hourly rate may be revised in future if the policy covering such appointments changes.
• Recognised degree: Your MD, DNB or equivalent degree must be recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
