Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Punjab (Ref. No. TMC/HBCHRC/M/HRD/RECT/29/26), a Grant-in-Aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has invited candidates for a walk-in interview for the post of Consultant (Gynaec Oncology) on an ad-hoc basis. The post is based at HBCH&RC, New Chandigarh, SAS Nagar, Punjab. This is a direct walk-in recruitment — there is no online application, so you just need to show up at the venue with your documents on the interview date.

Reservation Policy

If two candidates are found equally suitable, TMC gives preference to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS candidates over General category candidates to ensure fair representation. If any post is notified only for the unreserved category, age relaxation will not apply to reserved-category candidates for that post.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Ch./D.N.B. (Gynaec Oncology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission, OR M.D./D.N.B. (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or an equivalent recognized postgraduate degree.
• Experience (M.Ch./D.N.B. Gynaec Oncology): Minimum 1 year of experience in Gynaec Oncology, either during M.Ch. training or after.
• Experience (M.D./D.N.B. Obstetrics & Gynaecology): Minimum 3 years of experience after postgraduation in Gynaec Oncology.
• Nationality: Open to Indian Nationals only.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 45 years old, reckoned as on the date of the walk-in interview.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD (plus additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC PWD candidates). Ex-servicemen get length of service in the Armed Forces plus 3 years.
• TMC Employees: Maximum age relaxation of 5 years for existing TMC employees and those working under TMC projects/contracts.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a gross monthly salary between Rs. 1,40,000 and Rs. 1,52,000, determined based on relevant work experience acquired after completing the essential qualification.

Bring photocopies (along with originals for verification) of the following at the interview: your updated resume and 2 recent passport-size photographs; date of birth proof such as a birth certificate or school leaving certificate; mark sheets and passing certificates for all your qualifying exams; experience certificates (past employer's joining/relieving letter, or your current appointment letter and last pay slip); PAN Card and Aadhaar Card; and your caste/EWS/disability certificate if you belong to a reserved category. Age and experience are calculated as on the date of the walk-in interview, and experience is counted only from after you completed your required qualification.

Selection is done through:

1. Walk-in Interview: Conducted at the HRD Department, 6th Floor, Wing-C, HBCH&RC, New Chandigarh, Punjab.
2. Document Verification: Original documents are checked at the time of the interview.

TMC reserves the right to fix a minimum eligibility benchmark or restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on vacancies and qualifying marks.

Tenure and Other Conditions

This ad-hoc post is for a tenure of one year from the date of appointment, or until the permanent post is finalized, whichever happens first. TMC may also offer the appointment on a contract basis for an initial fixed term of one year on a consolidated remuneration. Once selected, you could be posted to any unit of TMC — including Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, ACTREC Navi Mumbai, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Sangrur, HBCH&RC Mullanpur, HBCH&RC Visakhapatnam, or the Varanasi centres — based on organizational requirements.

If you are currently working under Central/State Government, an Autonomous Body, or a Public Sector Undertaking, you must get permission from your Head of Organization before applying and produce it at the time of interview — otherwise you will not be allowed to appear. • Provide consultant-level clinical care to Gynaec Oncology patients at HBCH&RC, Punjab

• Participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary case reviews
