About This Job

Tata Memorial Centre is hiring 3 Senior Resident posts in the Department of Radiation Oncology at HBCH/MPMMCC Varanasi. TMC HBCH/MPMMCC Varanasi Senior Resident (Radiation Oncology) Recruitment 2026

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai, has invited Indian Nationals to a walk-in interview for Senior Resident (Radiation Oncology) at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HBCH) and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (MPMMCC), Varanasi. The contract is initially for six months, which may be further extended. There is no written exam — selection is direct through walk-in interview, on first come first serve basis.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: M.D. / D.N.B. (Radiation Oncology) or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the NMC (National Medical Commission).
  • Preference: Candidates having experience in Oncology will be preferred.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of walk-in interview
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates

Salary

  • Senior Resident gets a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 1,33,623
  • This is a fixed consolidated payout — standard allowances are not added separately.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is based on:

  1. Walk-In Interview: Held on all official working days from 1 May 2026 to 31 May 2026 between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
  2. Document Verification: Candidates must report with all original certificates listed below.
  3. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must join immediately, subject to being found medically fit.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy in the OPD and ward
  • Assist consultants with treatment planning, contouring, and quality checks for radiotherapy
  • Conduct treatment review clinics and document response and side-effects of radiation
  • Handle on-call and emergency duties for oncology patients in shifts
  • Attend tumour board meetings, multidisciplinary clinics, and academic sessions
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to clinical research
  • Participate in teaching of junior residents, interns, and paramedical staff
  • Follow radiation safety, infection control, and hospital quality protocols

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

M.D. / D.N.B. (Radiation Oncology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by NMC

Preferred Qualification

Candidates having experience in Oncology will be preferred

Required Skills

Radiation oncology practice, treatment planning, patient management, knowledge of radiotherapy techniques and protocols
