Mizoram Public Service Commission has released Advertisement No. 12 of 2026-2027 dated 8 May 2026 (Memo No.A.12026/26/2025-MPSC (PRE)) for Direct Recruitment to 40 Nursing Officer posts under Health & Family Welfare Department and 2 Staff Nurse posts under Home (Prisons) Department, Group 'B' (Non-Gazetted), under the Government of Mizoram. 2 posts are reserved for PwBD and 2 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen within the Nursing Officer category. The selection includes a written examination conducted by the Mizoram PSC.

PwBD Reservation (within Nursing Officer): 2 posts reserved for category (b) Partially Deaf, Fully Deaf; (c) One Arm, One Leg, One Arm One Leg, Dwarfism, Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Acid Attack Victims, Muscular Dystrophy.

Who Can Apply?

For Nursing Officer (40 posts):

• Educational Qualification: Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife (RNRM)

For Staff Nurse (2 posts):

• Educational Qualification: Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) AND registered under Registrar Nurse and Registrar Midwifery

Common Requirements (for both posts):

• Computer Proficiency: As prescribed under Mizoram Group 'A', 'B' and 'C' posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023 notified vide No. A.12018/31/2020-P&AR (GSW) dated 10.03.2023.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: You must pass the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency. However, you are exempted if you studied Mizo subject in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram (Reference: Mizoram Gazette Notification No. A-11019/1/2021-P&AR(GSW) dt. 09.04.2024 issue No. 247).

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age as on: 1 January 2026
• Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, or as may be notified by the Government from time to time.
• For age proof: HSLC/HSSLC Certificates clearly showing date of birth shall be accepted. In their absence, relevant documents issued by the competent authority may be accepted.

Salary

• Pay: Level 7 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400 per month as per 7th CPC).
• Plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance and other allowances as per Government of Mizoram rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted by the Mizoram Public Service Commission:

1. Written Examination: Conducted by Mizoram PSC as per the syllabus published on the official website (https://tinyurl.com/Nurseofficer).
2. Mizo Language Proficiency Test: You must achieve the pass mark in this qualifying test (unless exempted).
3. Document Verification: Verification of all submitted documents and certificates.
4. Final Merit List: Prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.

How to Apply

1. Go to the Mizoram PSC online portal at https://mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.
2. If not already registered, complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) by 4:00 PM on 12 June 2026.
3. Login and fill in the online application form for Advertisement No. 12 of 2026-2027.
4. Upload the required documents:
   • Marksheets of HSLC and above
   • Educational Certificates of HSLC and above
   • Computer Proficiency Certificate
   • Mizo Language Proficiency Certificate (if applicable)
   • Age Proof Certificate
   • Valid Nursing Council Registration
   • Any other relevant documents
5. Pay the application fee online. If paying through UPI, use only the mobile number used for One-Time Registration.
6. Submit the application before 12 June 2026 (4:00 PM).
7. Verify that your application is actually submitted after payment is made.
8. Government servants must apply through proper channel.
