Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai, has invited Indian Nationals to a walk-in interview for Senior Resident, Junior Resident, and Medical Officer posts in the Anaesthesiology department for Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HBCH) and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (MPMMCC), Varanasi. There is no written exam — selection happens directly through walk-in interview, on first come first serve basis. The contract is for one year, which may be further extended.

Candidates having experience in Oncology will be preferred.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident (Anaesthesiology):

• Qualification: M.D. / D.N.B. (Anaesthesiology) or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the NMC (National Medical Commission).

For Junior Resident (Anaesthesiology):

• Qualification: Diploma in Anaesthesiology from an NMC recognized institute. Candidates with diploma will be considered as Junior Resident III.

For Medical Officer (ICU Service):

• Qualification: M.B.B.S. degree recognized by NMC.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of walk-in interview
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates

Salary

• Senior Resident: Consolidated salary of Rs. 1,33,623 per month
• Junior Resident III (Diploma holders): Consolidated salary of Rs. 1,17,747 per month
• Medical Officer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 1,11,132 per month

Note: These are monthly consolidated payouts; standard allowances are not added on top.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is based on:

1. Walk-In Interview: Held on all official working days from 1 May 2026 to 31 May 2026 between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
2. Document Verification: Candidates must report with all original certificates listed below.
3. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must join immediately, subject to being found medically fit.

• Provide anaesthesia services for surgical oncology procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
• Manage critically ill cancer patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Handle airway management, pain relief, and patient monitoring during oncology surgeries
• Attend ward rounds, emergency calls, and assist consultants during complex procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical records and document patient progress in the prescribed format
• Participate in academic activities including case discussions, journal clubs, and teaching of junior staff
• Work in shift duties including night and weekend duties as per the duty roster
• Follow infection control, biosafety, and hospital quality protocols at all times
