THDC India Limited (THDCIL), a Schedule 'A' Mini Ratna Government PSU under NTPC Limited and Government of UP, has invited MBBS doctors for its Adhoc General Duty Medical Officer positions. This is an adhoc engagement on contract basis with an initial period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of 2 years. Selected candidates will be posted at THDCIL hospitals and dispensaries across its project sites including Rishikesh, Tehri, NCR, Koteshwar, and Amelia Coal Mines. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MBBS from a recognised Indian university, completed on full-time and regular basis.
• Registration: You must have permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
• Experience: At least 2 years of post-internship professional experience is required. Internship period is not counted.
• Additional Qualification (bonus marks, not mandatory): Having MD/MS or a Diploma gives you extra marks in the selection scoring.
• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible.

Age Limit

• Age is calculated as on 29 April 2026. No upper age limit is explicitly mentioned in the notification.
• Age relaxation is available for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBD (40% or above)/Ex-Servicemen/J&K domicile candidates as per Government of India directives.
• PwBD candidates get an upper age relaxation of 10 years wherever vacancies are identified for them.

Salary

• Selected Adhoc GDMOs will receive a consolidated pay of Rs. 1,23,000 per month.
• No other allowances, benefits, PRP or incentives are admissible beyond the consolidated amount.
• You will get rent-free bachelor accommodation at the place of posting.
• Free medical facility for yourself at THDCIL hospital/dispensary is included.
• Casual Leave: 15 days for each completed period of 6 months.

Selection Process (Walk-In Interview — No Written Exam)

Selection is through a personal Walk-In Interview. Your score is calculated out of 100 marks total:

1. Prescribed Qualification (max 40 marks): MBBS marks 60% or above — 40 marks; below 60% — 30 marks.
2. Additional Qualification (max 10 marks): MBBS with MD/MS — 10 marks; MBBS with Diploma — 5 marks.
3. Experience (max 10 marks): 2 marks for each completed year of post-internship experience, up to a maximum of 10 marks.
4. Personal Interview (40 marks): The selection committee assesses your profile, experience, and overall suitability.

Qualifying marks: UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) must score at least 50%. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen need at least 40%.

• Handle outpatient and inpatient medical care at THDCIL hospitals and dispensaries across project sites
• Work in shift duties including night shifts as assigned by the Controlling Authority
• Diagnose and treat occupational health conditions and general ailments of THDCIL employees and their dependants
• Maintain medical records, prescriptions, and case histories accurately
• Respond to medical emergencies at project sites promptly and effectively
• Follow all THDCIL conduct standards and hospital protocols during the period of engagement
• Coordinate with specialists and refer serious cases to higher medical facilities when needed
