Sambalpur University Law Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 - 7 Posts

Sambalpur University has released a walk-in notice for engagement of Guest Faculties (Assistant Professor) at Lajpat Rai Law College, Sambalpur. The engagement runs from 01 July 2026 to 31 December 2026, or till the vacancy is filled in a regular manner, whichever is earlier. No written exam is mentioned; selection is based on academic record, research degree, demo class, publications, and viva-voce.

This is a purely temporary teaching arrangement. The notice clearly says that the engagement does not become a regular, contractual, or ad-hoc appointment under any circumstances. Continuation depends on satisfactory quarterly review, so selected faculty should treat this as short-term academic work for the Law College.

Vacancy Details

  • Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty), Lajpat Rai Law College: 7 posts
  • Work assignment: Teaching for Law College classes, with related academic work as listed in the notice.
  • Vacancy note: These posts are against the requirement of Guest Faculty and remain temporary until regular vacancies are filled.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You should meet the eligibility conditions under UGC Guidelines, 2018 for Assistant Professor / Guest Faculty engagement.

  • Fallback eligibility: If PhD / NET candidates are not available, candidates with a Post-Graduate degree and good academic record will be considered.
  • Retired faculty: Engaged retired faculty may continue teaching till they attain 70 years, subject to periodic performance review.
  • Teaching experience: You should bring original evidence of teaching experience if you have any, because it can support your academic profile during evaluation.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for Sambalpur University Law Guest Faculty is based on a structured 100-mark evaluation:
