South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a Mini Ratna PSU and subsidiary of Coal India Limited, is hiring 1055 candidates for three technical and supervisory Grade-C positions across its mines and establishments. The posts are Mining Sirdar T&S Grade-C (577 posts), Dy. Surveyor T&S Grade-C Mining (43 posts) and Assistant Foreman (Electrical) Grade-C (435 posts). All posts offer a basic pay of Rs. 47,330.25 per month plus DA, HRA and other allowances under NCWA. You can apply online from 15 April 2026 and the last date is 14 May 2026 (11:59 PM).

South Eastern Coalfields Limited is one of the largest coal-producing subsidiaries of Coal India Limited, operating mines in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Mining Sirdar T&S Grade-C
- Education: Matriculate OR Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering (3 years) from a recognised institute
- Certificate I: Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency (Un-Restricted) from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for both Open Cast (OC) and Under Ground (UG) mines
- Certificate II: Valid Gas Testing Certificate
- Certificate III: Valid First Aid Certificate
Dy. Surveyor T&S Grade-C (Mining)
- Education: Matriculate OR Degree/Diploma in Mining/Mine Surveying Engineering from a recognised institute
- Certificate: Valid Surveyors' Certificate of Competency (SCC) (Un-Restricted) granted under CMR 2017
Assistant Foreman (Electrical) Grade-C
- Education: Matriculate plus Diploma (minimum 3 years course) in Electrical Engineering from a Government-recognised institute
- Higher relevant qualifications are also acceptable
Note: Qualifications obtained through distance learning or part-time mode are NOT accepted. All certificates must be valid as on the cut-off date 08.04.2026.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 30 years
- Age reference date: 08 April 2026 (date of issuance of notification)
- SC/ST: 5 years age relaxation
- OBC (Non Creamy Layer): 3 years age relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service + 3 years (6 years for OBC-NCL, 8 years for SC/ST ESM), subject to maximum age of 50 years
- PwBD (Assistant Foreman Electrical only): 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC-NCL, 15 years for SC/ST
- Departmental candidates (existing CIL/subsidiary employees): No upper age limit
Salary
- Basic Pay: Rs. 47,330.25 per month (all three posts)
- Grade: T&S Grade-C (Technical & Supervisory)
- Allowances: DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), Attendance Bonus, Special Allowance, Transport Subsidy and other allowances as per NCWA (National Coal Wage Agreement)
- Total monthly package (with allowances) typically crosses Rs. 70,000+ depending on posting location
- Additional benefits: medical cover, PF, gratuity, pension, LTC and free/subsidised housing in coal colonies

Selection Process
Selection is based only on Computer Based Test (CBT). Personal interview has been discontinued as per Coal India Limited guidelines.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective type questions, bilingual (English/Hindi)
- Section A - Technical Knowledge (discipline related): 80 MCQs
- Section B - General Awareness / Aptitude / Knowledge of CIL-SECL: 20 MCQs
- Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 mark per question
- No negative marking
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45 for UR/EWS, 40 for OBC-NCL/ESM, 35 for SC/ST
- Merit List: Prepared based only on CBT marks
- Document Verification: Only for shortlisted candidates after CBT results
- Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to being declared medically fit as per Coal Mines rules

Responsibilities
- Supervise open cast and underground mining operations as per Coal Mines Regulation 2017
- Ensure compliance with safety, gas testing and ventilation standards in assigned mine sections
- Handle electrical installations, maintenance and troubleshooting at mine sites (for Assistant Foreman Electrical)
- Conduct mine surveys, maintain survey records and prepare mine plans (for Dy. Surveyor)
- Monitor workers, issue work orders and report daily production and safety status to senior officers
- Maintain statutory registers, inspection reports and operational logs as per DGMS guidelines
- Assist in accident prevention, first aid response and emergency rescue operations
- Follow SECL and Coal India safety circulars, SOPs and environmental norms during all duties
