Who Can Apply?

For Engineering Roles (Civil, Electrical & Automation, AI, Project Execution) - YP-1:

  • B.E./B.Tech (Full Time) in the relevant discipline, or MCA for AI Engineer / Data Analytics roles.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field, from a PSU, government organization, or private firm with a valid CIN.

For Blast Furnace Process Expert (YP-2):

  • B.E./B.Tech (Full Time) in Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in Blast Furnace operations in an Integrated Steel Plant.

For Vibration Analyst and Rotor Dynamics Expert (YP-3):

  • B.E./B.Tech (Full Time) in Mechanical Engineering with Vibration Analyst (Cat-II) Certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Condition Monitoring, out of which at least 3 years must be in an Integrated Steel Plant.

For F&A (Sales & Main Accounts) - YP-1:

  • CA/CMA/MBA (Finance) with minimum 3 years of experience in Sales Accounting, Direct/Indirect Taxation, and Preparation of Accounts.

For Data Scientist and Data Architect (SDTD) - YP-1:

  • Full time Regular B.E./B.Tech, with M.E./M.Tech/Ph.D as desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience.

For 3D Animator/Visual Content Creator (SSO) - YP-1:

  • B.E./B.Tech or Graduate with 3 years of experience in making 3D Animations/Videos.

For Consultant Roles (MTI, Ranchi) - YP-1:

  • Postgraduate degree (MBA/PGDM) in HR, Digital Learning, or a related field from a UGC-listed or AICTE-approved institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant area, as per the corrigendum dated 09 July 2026.

Age Limit

  • You must have completed 23 years of age.
  • Upper age limit is 35 years for most Young Professional-1 (YP-1) roles.
  • Upper age limit is 38 years for the Blast Furnace Process Expert (YP-2) role.
  • Upper age limit is 42 years for the Vibration Analyst and Rotor Dynamics Expert (YP-3) role.
  • Age is calculated as on 03 July 2026.

Salary

  • Young Professional-1 (YP-1) roles get a consolidated monthly fee of Rs. 70,000.
  • Young Professional-2 (YP-2), the Blast Furnace Process Expert role, gets Rs. 1,00,000 per month.
  • Young Professional-3 (YP-3), the Vibration Analyst role, gets Rs. 1,40,000 per month.
  • You can also get an annual increment of up to 10% of your monthly fee based on performance, plus benefits like accommodation, medical insurance, and travel entitlements as per grade.

  • All categories: Rs. 500 processing fee.
  • Payment mode: Online through Net Banking, Credit Card, or ATM-cum-Debit Card. Bank charges, if any, are extra.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

  1. Screening of Applications: Your application will be checked for eligibility by a Screening Committee.
  2. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 MCQs in 2 segments (50 Technical/Professional + 50 Aptitude) for a duration of 90 minutes. Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio for each grade.
  3. Personal Interaction: Final merit is based on CBT and Personal Interaction marks with an 80:20 weightage. If there is no CBT, the minimum qualifying mark for Personal Interaction is 50%.
  4. Medical Fitness Certificate: You need to submit a general medical fitness certificate before joining.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation, dashboards, and technical designs relevant to the role
  • Follow safety compliance, statutory norms, and quality standards during execution
  • Support skill-building and capability development initiatives across teams
  • Provide relevant subject-matter expertise for critical and specialized project requirements
  • Complete assigned tasks within the fixed-term engagement period with satisfactory performance

Candidates are shortlisted for Personal Interaction in a 1:3 ratio per grade based on CBT merit. The final merit combines CBT and Personal Interaction marks with an 80:20 weightage. If selection is through Personal Interaction only, the minimum qualifying mark is 50%.
