SAIL Bhilai Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) is running an apprenticeship programme through its HR–Learning and Development Department in Chhattisgarh. The engagement covers Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The programme offers practical training in a professional setting, with separate application routes for the different apprentice groups.

Posts and Disciplines

• Trade Apprentices: The industrial trades include Electrician, Fitter, Mechatronics, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Turner and Welder. Manufacturing Process Control and Automation also appears in this group.
• Other trade streams: The notice includes multimedia and animation, information technology, refrigeration and air conditioning, motor-vehicle work, woodwork, masonry, hospital housekeeping and stenography in Hindi and English.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training engagement: BSP does not promise regular employment during or after the apprenticeship. Keep this condition in mind when deciding whether the programme fits your plans.
• Accommodation: You must arrange your own place to stay during training. The plant will not provide accommodation to apprentices.
• Travel: BSP will not pay applicants a travel allowance. Plan your travel and stay around the reporting arrangements in the notice.
• Reservation: The programme follows the applicable Government of Chhattisgarh guidelines.
• Changes to the intake: The advertised intake is indicative. Management may change the trade-wise intake, leave places unfilled or cancel the process.
