Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Miniratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, executes railway infrastructure projects across India and has released a vacancy notice for one General Manager (Finance) post at its Corporate Office in New Delhi. The post falls under the Finance & Accounts Department and is to be filled on a deputation basis for five years, subject to government approval for exemption from the rule of immediate absorption. Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: Officers of the Finance Department holding substantively a post in an analogous grade to Level-14 (CDA) / IDA E-8, OR holding a Level-13 (CDA) post with at least 17 years of service in Group 'A', OR holding an IDA E-7 grade post (Rs. 1,00,000-2,60,000) for four years.
• Preferred Experience: Finance and accounts experience in infrastructure projects, including project finance, budgeting and financial planning, treasury/fund management, taxation, contract and commercial matters, audit, and finalisation of accounts.
• Desirable: Experience with ERP/SAP-based financial systems and infrastructure/EPC projects. Prior experience in central or state PSUs will be an added advantage.
• Applications must be routed through the proper channel — direct applications from individual candidates without forwarding by the controlling officer are not accepted for deputation posts.

Age Limit

• You should be below 58 years of age, reckoned as on the closing date of the vacancy notice.

Salary

• Selected candidates draw Level-14 (CDA) / IDA E-8 pay (Rs. 1,44,200 - Rs. 2,18,200 per month) as parent pay, plus deputation allowance.
• Deputation allowance and other benefits apply as per applicable government rules.
• The pay quoted reflects the Level-14 (CDA) pay matrix; officers on the IDA scale draw the equivalent IDA E-8 scale.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Since this is a deputation vacancy, there is no written exam or interview panel process in the usual sense. Selection is based on your service record and eligibility documents:

1. Application Screening: Your controlling officer/zonal railway verifies your eligibility, vigilance/DAR clearance, and last 5 years' APAR grading.
2. Forwarding: Only eligible applications, complete with clearances, are forwarded to RVNL through the proper channel within 15 days of the closing date.
3. Selection: RVNL selects the candidate based on service record, experience, and eligibility criteria.
