RRC NCR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 3,205 Slots
Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway (RRC NCR) issued an addendum dated 14 August 2026 to Zonal Notification No. RRC/NCR/Act. Apprentice 01/2026 dated 7 July 2026. The addendum includes revised Engineering Department trade slots for the Jhansi, Prayagraj, and Agra units. It also adds Surveyor, Mason (Building Construction), CAD-CAM Operator cum Programmer, Sanitary Hardware Fitter, and Building Maintenance Technician to the trade list. The eligibility rules and other conditions of the base notification continue to apply.
This is apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, not a promise of permanent Railway employment. Training slots are distributed among divisions, workshops, headquarters, and the Track Machine Line. You must choose the available unit and trade preferences carefully in the online form because selection is prepared unit-wise, trade-wise, and community-wise. Applicants from outside Uttar Pradesh may apply, but the notified training units are located in Uttar Pradesh.
Vacancy Breakdown
The revised annexure brings the recruitment total to 3,205 slots. Reservation columns for UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, and specified disability categories are shown trade by trade in the official annexure.

Stipend

Application Fee
- General and OBC applicants: Rs. 100 as a non-refundable online application fee.
- SC, ST, PwBD, and female applicants: No application fee.
- Payment mode: Pay online through the payment facility in the application form using the available digital payment options.
Selection Process
RRC NCR will prepare the Act Apprentice merit lists without a written examination or interview. Your academic and technical marks determine your place in the relevant unit, trade, and community list.
- Merit calculation: RRC NCR takes the average percentage of your Matriculation and ITI examination marks, giving equal weight to both qualifications.
- Tie resolution: If two applicants have the same merit score, the older applicant receives preference; if dates of birth also match, the applicant who passed Matriculation earlier is placed first.
- Document verification: Shortlisted applicants are called up to 1.5 times the number of notified slots to show original certificates and prove the details entered online.
- Medical fitness: Final engagement depends on meeting the required medical standard and submitting a certificate from an authorized government medical officer.
A place on a merit or standby list does not guarantee engagement. Your candidature can be cancelled if certificates, category claims, marks, or other online details do not match the originals during verification.
