Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) is hiring 3 Project Staff — one Project Consultant, one Project Associate, and one Project Assistant — for its DST-Technology Enabling Centre in Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh. Rajiv Gandhi University, a Central University located at Rono Hills, Doimukh in Itanagar, has invited applications for 3 Project Staff positions to be engaged under the DST-Technology Enabling Centre (DST-TEC), a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The DST-TEC aims to build a technology development ecosystem at RGU that supports tech transfer, commercialization, startups, and industry-academia collaboration in the North-Eastern region. The recruitment covers three roles — Project Consultant, Project Associate and Project Assistant — under Principal Investigator Dr. Rahul Chandra Kushwaha at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. These are purely temporary, project-linked positions co-terminus with the DST-TEC project tenure. Candidates with a background in AI/ML, Computer Science or related technology fields are especially encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

Project Consultant (Age limit: 65 years):

• Master's Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognised university
• Significant working experience (Government/Private sector) in science/technology development and project handling, preferably AI-ML based projects or industry-academia collaboration
• Desirable: B.Tech + M.Tech/MBA and PhD in CSE/AI-ML/Data Science or equivalent, with NET/GATE from IIT/NIT/IIM or NIRF Top-50 institutions, along with patents and SCI publications
• You will work on building the technology development ecosystem, guide other project staff, support tech transfer, commercialization and start-ups, plan industry-academia collaboration, and help organise centre events

Project Associate (Age limit: 35 years):

• Master's Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology or equivalent, OR B.Tech/B.E. with significant working experience
• Desirable: M.E./M.Tech (CSE)/M.Sc (CS)/MCA or similar discipline with UGC-NET/GATE
• You will assist project activities, R&D work, industry-institute visits, and newsletter/report documentation

Project Assistant (Age limit: 35 years):

• Graduate in Science/Engineering/Technology or any relevant discipline from a recognised university
• Desirable: M.E./M.Tech (CSE)/M.Sc (CS)/MCA or similar discipline with UGC-NET/GATE
• You will handle office work and assist the project coordinator with day-to-day project tasks

Age Limit

• Project Consultant: up to 65 years
• Project Associate: up to 35 years
• Project Assistant: up to 35 years

Salary

• Project Consultant: Rs. 2,000 per day, up to Rs. 40,000 per month, plus 10% HRA (maximum around Rs. 44,000/month)
• Project Associate: Rs. 25,000 per month plus 10% HRA
• Project Assistant: Rs. 20,000 per month plus 10% HRA

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Application Screening: Shortlisting based on qualification and experience declared in the application form.
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates must appear before the selection committee at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, RGU, Rono Hills, Doimukh, with original and self-attested copies of certificates from 10th standard onwards, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, and NET/GATE certificate (if applicable).

Outstation candidates may request to appear for the interview online, subject to approval by the selection committee. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The engagement is purely temporary, performance-based, and co-terminus with the tenure of the project. The Project Consultant post is initially for 3 months, while Project Associate and Project Assistant posts are initially for 1 year — both extendable based on performance. Selected project staff may also be considered for PhD registration at RGU as per university rules.
